As a Dominican, I can firmly say that Acuario cafe has my favorite Dominican food in the city outside of the uptown/Bronx area. Everyone who works there has always been super nice and I consider it to be one of my favorite places to get food in NYC for sure. Of course, Los Tacos and Jollibee also have a place in my heart as well.

I told my fiancé exactly what your wife told you about Los Tacos No. 1. I grew up between the border cities of Tijuana and San Diego, and these tacos are the best I’ve had in NY. The tortillas are handmade which in my opinion is the most important part of a taco. 🌮❤️

$4 for a taco is stupidly expensive, even for NY and this is coming from someone that lives in LA. Also the Filipino cameraman seems very good at rating everything!

Obviously I’m late. But as a Californian from the Central Valley (California). with taco trucks in every single city, in a 50 mile radius. I just had these tacos yesterday. They’re definitely worth the experience of trying. The Al Pastor didn’t taste like Al Pastor though. The asada was legit

I wouldn’t call this a “cheap” eat but when it comes to VALUE, it’s De Mole in Williamsburg for me. Unlimited drinks and Mexican brunch dishes for two hours for $49. The quality of the food was excellent and the atmosphere matched. Highly recommend y’all give it a go.

Considering how poor the food is around Times Square, I’d definitely recommend John’s. It’s a place that the tourists have also discovered, but if you don’t mind waiting a little in a massive space, the pizza is really good, and a great introduction to NYC food.

Hi John and Ben, I knew you were gonna mention that hidden place which you mentioned in your previous videos. I tried Pizza Suprema back in 2014. It was good. They were on the one of the best pizzas on the list in NY back in 2013.

All of these places are on point. Acuario Cafe though....that's a true hidden gem. My co-worker led me on to it & I was hooked ever since. You're spot on about getting there at a certain time though b/c even though it may be hidden, it's well known & they run out quick! That's how you know it's good! Great video as always!
I've been to Aquario Cafe last time I was in NYC. In 2019 thanks to John. I lived the real experience of the worker because every time I go to NY from Italy I want to live real life feeling like a resident and not a tourist
