    Hi Dr. Dray,
    I have made your vlogs a regular part of my nightly rituals. I would welcome your thoughts on skincare for hypothyroid/menopausal skin. Dull, dry and not glowing at all.
    Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to reach out to the rest of the world. Have a fantastic day!

    I like the day off idea, will do that. Love cashews! We use cashews to make cashew cheese for lasagne and a cashew Caesar dressing:):) Thanks for the tips on affordable skincare💕

      Stephanie Romano yeah I'm all about trying to make vegan cheese. I want to try making my own yogurt out of cashew milk too. Hope you are having a great day!

    Trader Joe's low sodium vegetable broth is the best tasting I've ever tasted. Inexpensive, too ! I also freeze it in an ice-cube tray and pop the cubes into a freezer bag and use it for sauteing or adding flavor to various dishes.

    Hi Dr. Dray, I started using a cheap regular antitranspirant and it is the best thing ever. No more expensive natural crap that doesn't work. I was also thinking about that in relation to a conversation that I had with a friend who is a nutritionist. She says that there is nothing wrong with artificial sweeteners and that it is OK to consume them. I thought you might be interested in this because sometimes you mention that you would like to stop eating certain products because of that ingredient. Hope you enjoy your day!

      luisa perales lol, sounds good! I don't like sucralose as it just doesn't agree with me, so I try and minimize it l. I like stevia or monk fruit as sugar substitutes though.

      I'm glad you mentioned about taking a break too from the differin. I noticed last night that my skin felt a little sensitive after I washed so I took the night off from it but felt bad like I shouldn't have done it. So it reassured me to hear you say you took some time off and it's ok to do. 😊

    Dr. Dray,
    I'm so glad I discovered you. I have always had an interest in skincare ever since I began to struggle with acne in the fourth grade. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on facial oils such as grapeseed oil?

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much grace! So nice to have you here and happy to hear you are enjoying the channel. Sorry to hear about your acne struggles. Some facial oils can be helpful for removing thick makeup, however botanical oils always have the potential to be irritating to the skin and provoke an acne-like irritant contact dermatitis. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

    Tried a couple of masks from the Herbivore line. As much as I wanted to love them, and how much I loved how they smelled, I had to return them because they were just too intense for my skin to take. And logically I'm not going to keep something that expensive especially when I can't use it. I purchased them based on several positive YT videos touting the skin clearing benefits of the two gel masks.

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah masks can be fun, but usually no major benefit

      Hi c moore! Thanks so much for commenting! Today's vlog (2.1.17) gets to the heart of how I feel about these things. Basically, not worth it in my opinion. Hope this helps!

    I'm wondering if you could give me some advice? The skin on my cheeks and chin is red/orangey and I have a white 1cm patch of skin around my mouth. Any idea what this could be? P.s. Loving the daily vlogs!!

      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Elizabeth thanks so much girl! There are many things your facial rash could be, but my advice is to back off of any cosmetics for awhile and try and see a dermatologist who can evaluate your rash and get you on the right treatment if needed. Hope you are having a great day!

    Hi! So I use the neut. all in one skin face wash. It does really well for my skin and after I wash my face with it I put on the "neut spot treatment" all over my face. Is putting spot treatment all over okay? I know you said to take rest days but if I skip even a full day my skin starts to break out. I was wondering if it is healthy to do so? Also what are your thoughts on lubriderm? Is that a good moisturizer for sensitive dry skin? Most moisturizers scare me and I was thinking about getting the one you use that is oil free!

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carmack. That sounds like a really sound skin care routine. The spot treatment is a benzoyl peroxide gel, and it is more than fine to put it all over the face. I put zapzyt (10% benzoyl peroxide) all over my face and in doing so it works to prevent break outs on other areas of your face. Ideally benzoyl peroxide would be used all over the face, but it can be irritating so most people don't tolerate doing it that way. Therefore, they started marketing this concept of "spot treatment," but in reality, you are doing it in the way it was intended...all over the face, not spot use. Hope that helps. Lubriderm is okay, it is a lotion, so very watery. I prefer vani cream or eucerin eczema creams, as creams are better than lotions for dry skin on the body. Hope this helps and that you are having a great day!

    Hi Dr Dray Enjoying your videos. Binge watching. I was wondering if you have also checked out the Differin cleanser and moisturizer. Can you give your thoughts on these two items and using them along with the Differin. Another great use for canning jars is to make ahead salad. I place my cut veggies in the bottom of the jar and then place salad on top. These will stay fresh for days in the refrigerator. Quick easy grab lunch.

    Hi Dr. Dray! Taking a "rest day" makes a lot of sense! If someone uses Retin-A every night, is one rest day/week enough, OR would it be better to rest for a few days in a row once a month? Have you done a video explaining this in more detail? Thanks so much! : ))

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      discuss with the prescribing physician what is right for you...for this reason i don't make videos on this topic, as it is very individualized and not generalizable

    Dr. Dray, despite binge watching your videos from day 1, I have foolishly overdone the zapzit. it has caused almost sunburned looking and feeling skin on my chin. Can you recommend advice for the healing process of this inflamed area?

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carrie Freeman lay off the zapzyt and and avoid putting a bunch of stuff/makeup on your face, aside from sunscreen
