I think I'm going to read The Daughter of the Forest. It works for retelling mashup, with a curse, and set in the forest. I just need to find a retelling with a princess and a crown on the cover.
Hi Maci 😊! Loved the bingo board concept & had been waiting for this announcement ! This is fun & the Jane Austen retelling is the best part of it 💖👍! !!! 😊😊😊😊
Retelling mashup rec: Good as Gold by Sarah Mlynowski. It’s a middle grade book part of the Whatever After series. Good as Gold has Three Little Bears and Rumpelstiltskin retellings in it.
I have to say that I just love all of the readathons you organize! Looking forward to this one too. My favourite retellings right now are Slavic and/or Norse mythology. In terms of fairytale retellings, I think Red Riding Hood is my favourite. And I love reading dark and creepy retellings given how creepy the original fairytales usually were.
Thank you so much. This means the world to me!! I have a red rising hood retelling video coming out at the end of the month ❤❤ I love the creepy ones too!
Yay! I'm excited for this one! I was kind of disappointed in myself in the mermaidathon as I only got two books completed during the challenge, was a little in a reading slump, hoping this new challenge motivates me, so many different options!
@@amrb521 two books is still great! Physical I only read 3/4 of one 🤣 besides the graphic novels. But any amount is always a plus! So excited for all the retelling options!
Yay 🎉 🧚🏼♀️🏰📚. I am still trying to wrap up Mermaid Marathon, which was amazing, but have been anticipating Retoldathon. I love book Bingo, yours is adorable with the graphics 😍 printing that to put in my reading journal 📔❣️

Yayyy. I am so excited. I have been waiting for this 😂. I love retellings & I have so many options. I was debating reading the Oliver Twist retelling I have but that bingo board is so tempting. Fairytale retellings are my favorite.
I know I am going to read To Defy A Dream by Mary Mecham (Sleeping Beauty), I might reread Desperate Forest by CeCe Louise.. (mash up of Snow White & Robin Hood I think...) but I am pretty sure I have other mashups... I need to start building my TBR haha.
@@homestylereads the library is great for finding more books without having to buy them. But any retelling will work and you don't have to do all the prompts ♥️🏰
@@brightsidegirl I usually use the library for your readathons, but I’m trying to minimize my personal physical tbr. I’m mainly reading books I own right now; otherwise, I’d definitely go get some from the library!

Hi! I just barely missed your Mermaid/Pirate themed readathon. I love the recommendations! But I have noticed you never have read any of A.L. Knorrs mermaid books 📚! You’re really missing out! No one, and I mean know one writes mermaids better than her!
