My oldest tried me a few months ago,talking and mumbling, after being told to hush while I'm talking, I put my foot in his ass,and we had a sit down after we both calmed down,he apologized to me and his mother for his actions ,I let him know i loved him and he can come to me for anything and we haven't had that issue since.

7:26 As a 29 year old father that's been a father since 15. I felt that one. After 10 i didn't my Pops again till i had two sons of my own at 19. They were the only reason along with my lil sister graduating that I even reached out to him. They kept me going. I'd get dropped off from school by a friend or the bus, come in tired asf with just enough time to get something to eat before going to cut lawns, or wash cars, whatever. He'd see me and light up, couldn't even walk yet and tryna jump out of whoever lap he was in into my arms. No matter how tired or overwhelmed I felt he never saw it. In his eyes I was Superman, he was too young to know that what made me Superman were his eyes. I remember nights I'd come in and try to sneak past him bcz I'm tired. Lay down for like half a minute and can't rest. Get my lil black ass up and go in and see my son and he'd light up, run and leap into my arms his lil brother would do the same when he came along. Now, they're 14 and 12. I'm still blessed that were as close as we are. Idk how their mother and I keep them from falling into the traps that I did. Other than the big man upstairs was listening to my prayers. Time flies by so fvck'n fast man. But I was just talking with my big brother earlier about how when i was younger and out with my boys older ppl would assume they were my lil brothers and my oldest was always quick to let them know i was his father. That shi' feels good as a bih still. Even my Pop telling me thank you for doing better with my sons than he did with us and not making the same mistakes a couple years before he passed away. Honestly, I can say nothing has ever made me more proud than being a father. Its a hard job but when you succeed at it....feels like winning the lottery
