(Answer to the question in the video) At first I had no clue about anything about risk management and turned my 1000 dollar account into 500 dollars (I was risking 20-30% per trade), but ever since I created plan for how much I want to risk, the profits have been steadily building up. I'm now currently risking around 1-1.5% per trade.
Lol. I do have a moderate risk appetite, but I'll definitely be starting with 1% and I think it'll be wise to go back down to that level or less when I first start trading with real money. Thanks
Hello, thanks for the video it was easy to understand and I am taking your tips into consideration. Just a quick question, what do you exactly mean by risking per trade? Do you mean risking how much of the total capital per trade, or risking 1-3% of capital and then (as an example) 5% stop loss? Do you think risking 3% of capital and having a 3-10% stop loss (depending on market conditions of course) is good? I have already taken RR into account and I feel like this would be a comfortable amount for me, and I am only risking around .3% of my account per trade. (I know that in forex many things are calculated in pips but just for the sake of simplicity I had percentages)
Hey karen do u have video advise about copy trading setup for the follower? If non pls make one. Want to know the best leverage capital etc setup for the follower
Hi mam, I am from Bangladesh, I recommend all my BD traders to watch your channel. I have one question here if I start with two accounts with different risk management can I survived the account which I am taking same trade with different lot size. Thank you
Hi Karen I hope you are doing well and had a rewarding trip to Hong Kong. Thanks for putting out this video - if you don’t mind me asking, as per your video, what is your risk appetite? Thanks in advance
So, I'm trading .02 lots size, 30 pip T/P, 10 Pip S/L on six pairs EU, AU, EA, AJ, EJ, and UJ pairs. A 10 pip loss would be $2, so my risk on a $1,000 account is $2/$1,000 or 0.2% per trade (some would say this tolerance is too low, but I'm happy with it). It would take 500 consecutive trade losses to blow the account. Your advise is appreciated...even though I know you don't have time to actually respond?
Every trade taken by the rules is a good trade. Every trade in which you break the rules and do not follow your trading plan and your personal discipline is a bad trade. Exit strategies should always be planned carefully in advance because you will never know if a trade is good or bad unless you are in it! If we only have small capital such as $100, set a 1% of it for stop loss which is considered a very tight stop loss. How do you see it? Should we generate more capital at first before we trade?
Actually based on my calculations it may not be that bad. Just cut it by half, and if you have a strategy with decent win rate and risk reward ratio, you should do well. I have made a calculator just for risk management.
im SO confused by your messaging on risk mitigation. You say that we should trade less often in order to make more profits, but then you also say to only risk 1% per trade. If I'm trading 1000 shares of TQQQ, with a 200K account, i only buy 20 shares for a set-up play I've been waiting for all week?
I tend to stick to 1-2% per trade but I always have a max amount of money I am willing to lose on any given trade. For example I could risk 5-6% on a trade but the loss I would take if it went wrong would be £200 = still 2% of my account of 10k.

As long as you don't mind the low returns and it fits with your risk tolerance...then its fine

so does it mean when I take SL:TP 1: 3, when I lose I loss 1%, and when I get it right I got 3 %?
If your position size calculation follows that, then it's possible
1:55 you even use confirmation indicator for your mental calculation
you are my idol !
As a beginner, I use only 0.01%... I think I will keep that way until I find a system that works consistently for me.
All the best
Should we go for 1% risk per trade and enter multiple trades or our entire risk should not be more then 1% even we enter multiple trades.

Sir use position size strategy based on your stop loss and to achieve 1 % in your $100 account.
Thats my opinion

ok kool is 2 % ok to use with a 1000 account with 5 micro lots at .50 per pip ? to risky...i also use the 10 pip S/L......?
so iam using .005 % of a 1000 for 5 micros? so 2% of a 1000 would alow 20 micro units or 2 mini lots?
I'm risking 30% and I'm reconsidering it now.. hmm..
