I’ve been saying the past year Jacko is due for a setback this year, and it appears to be the case. She’s had all those insane improvement four years straight while aging…the body can only do but so much. She has not looked fast the entire season, and when she won the races she did, it appeared to take everything out of her to put it all together and come on at the end. The 2023 start is completely gone, and her finish is just “good” this year. So, injured or not, although I first thought it is possible she’s heavily loaded, she really doesn’t look fast to me in 2024.
The pipeline of talent is already bursting at the seams so the future is secure as far as Jamaican female sprint talent is concerned. For your own edification, I suggest you familiarize yourselves with the names of these teenage sensation who have been wowing Jamaica with their outstanding performances at Champs and CARIFTA--And I have no doubt that they'll set the place on fire next month at the World Under 20 Championships in Cali, Columbia. Know these names now, so when the rest of the world start to take notice of their exploits, y'all can tell the detractors and haters [and there will be many] that the young ladies are the real deal. i) Natreece East, 16 y/o: 100M, 11.42; 200M, 23.27; ii) Thienna Lee Terrelonge, 16 y/o: 100M, 11.13; 200M, 23.53; iii) Sabrina Dockery, 17 y/o: 100M, 11:21; 200M, 23.10; iv) Kerrica Hill, 19 y/o: 100M, 11.16; 200M, 23.57; 100MH, 12.75; v) Shanoya Douglas, 17 y/o: 100M, 11.28, 200M, 22.59 [and you're welcome 😆].
I think she is injured, but I am also confident her coaches Paul and Steven Francis will have her ready. Elaine Thomson, when she was at MVP was injury prone, even at the 2021 Olympics she was nursing an injury coming into the Olympics and she defended her crown. Elaine was beaten at both the previous WC coming into the Olympics. If one of the Francis says she is not ready then, she is injured.
You feel like she suffers from chronic cramps? Coz even at Jamaican trials she wasn't pushing it coz she knew her body wasn't right. Even wrapped her leg up after.
Without sherika doesnt mean they wont podium. Just go back to 2008. They were all unknown with shelly. Yet they won gold bronze and silver. Then its your time its your time. Bad baton or confidence issue can change things.
Last year Sherika was my olympic pick for the 100/200m when she showed up on 2024 over weight and never performed well all season then she pulled up. Now it looks like She may not even get on the podium because of how strong the usa 200m team is. It's lookin like a sweep unless someone unexpected comes thru
Maybe she should only do the 200m since she has a better chance to get gold. She may be at that level where she may not even need to go full out in the 200m and still win.
@@trefrancis4029 no she wouldn't have. She was neck and neck with Alfred who ran a 22.16. .16 seconds is not a negligible amount of time. I have a feeling she's been injured all year to be honest
I think Elaine is done. I thought she was done b4 she was injured. Honestly I think she was juicing and got off of juicing and that's what lead to her leaving mvp track club because I truly think juicing is the culture of that team. They have just come up with a cocktail that's not being detected but it will eventually. Mark my words, Thompson will come up dirty soon. You don't go from running 11s to running 9s in less than 2 years without some help. And he is with mvp also
She's definitely not winning the 100m and I don't think she wins the 200 either as she has to go under 22 seconds this year. Even in her last race she wouldn't have gone under 22 seconds
I said it before on many channels and I'll say it again that it's Gabby's time! Shericka is not going to beat Gabby this Olympics. I love and respect the hell outta Shericka too! This ain't no hate at all. Shericka is so awesome that Gabby could use this advantage on her. I haven't liked how Shericka has looked all season to be honest. Best of luck to Shericka because we all know that a fully healthy and fit version of herself could not be beaten by anyone in the world.

Its Gabby's time
How do you think it’s more than a cramp when she didn’t grab her leg, didn’t go down, wasn’t hobbling but just slowed and basically walked off!?
A light strain wouldn’t require all that you and others keep saying. It might not be super major. But it looked worse than a mere cramp.
An injury sometimes begin as a mere cramp and worsens as more pressure is added. I hope that is not the case with Sherika.
