Hab den Film gestern in Leipzig gesehen, wirklich wunderbar. Die Leute sind alle mitgegangen, es wurde gelacht, gefeiert, nachgedacht und hinterher gab es ne große Runde Applaus obwohl ja keiner von der Filmcrew anwesend war ... Wirklich gut. Ich selber war nie aufm Wacken, einer aus unserer Gruppe ist sogar der totale Metal-Uninteressierte und fand den trotzdem super. Denn, wie der Titel am Anfang schon so schön klar macht : "Ein Heimatfilm." Wunderbares Stück Dokumentar-Kino. DVD bitte.

I think this is amusing. I'm a metal fan, but I do understand that there are a handful of people that have no respect for non-metal cultures. I can appreciate both the high energy concerts and the quiet country life.

Habe den Film vorhin im Kino gesehen und bin sehr begeistert! Viele schöne Kameraeinstellungen sind so gelungen, daß sie als einzelne Filminstallationen für sich selbst stehen könnten. Die Dorfbewohner sind so nett und harmlos, daß man am liebsten mal auf einen Kaffee vorbeikommen würde... Vielleicht kann mir jemand eine musikalische Frage beantworten: wer ist die Band, die im Film vor Kreator spielt? Mit dem Sänger mit den langen blonden Haaren und der schwarzen Gesichtsbemalung?

Übrigens, eine der nachdenkenswertesten Szenen für mich : Wie das eine Mädchen da was von der Hitlerjugend erzählt (aua), dem gegenüber dann die Bilder vom Konzert mit den zehntausend Leuten mit gestrecktem Arm ... Okay, die Handhaltung ist etwas anders, aber trotzdem krass ... War das beabsichtigt/gesehen von dir ?
I get the feeling that the villagers get almost as much entertainment from watching the metalheads as the metalheads do from Wacken fest.
