if you go back check out the national infantry museum, clearview bbq, t-bones steak house over in Phenix city, ballistic paintball and fun park and the site where the trail of tears started.
@@thewrightsights no problem! Columbus' nick name is the fountain city... an underpass, part of one of the dragonfly trails, lights up with different colors (seasonal colors for each occasion)... the infantry museum is somber and enlightening...
Lived in Columbus GA off and on for about 15 years but realized I could make more money don't the same job in Atlanta. The 2 things I missed breathe my family was Countrys BBQ and running the numerous races Girlfriend n Columbus and surrounding area:) Scout Cookie Run, Faith Christmas Run? At Ft Benning, and Country's BBQ Midnight Run where they hand out free BBQ sandwiches at the finish line. Loved running at Cooper Creek:)

Lived in Columbus 8 long years. Its dangerous & extremely boring. Kids just got shot at the gas station last night. Gang violence has taken over due to the boredom
This place is unbearably boring for anyone under the age of 50. The river walk is a pointless attraction, it’s a stale visit after the first 20 minutes being there. Unfortunately that is the most “exciting” thing to do here, next to a lunchbox museum? Columbus should be known as the biggest hospice in the country. No one that is young will have an ounce of enjoyment in this town.
Well good to know you young ones hate it too, because there's really nothing for anyone over 50 either. This place IS a great visit, but when you live here it's like having to watch the same 3 movies over and over and over.....etc....again! And there is nothing new to do just around to corner, EVERYTHING is a day trip away. I'm sorry for venting, but I've been STUCK here for 18 years. I have never been so bored.
I grew up in Columbus. I went to River Rd. Elem, Daniel Jr. High, & Columbus High School. I had great times back then, it was a great place to live!
We think it is one of the hidden gems of the South!
