So happy that this video has helped you with the ID, and thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, wishing you a fantastic plant powered Tuesday XXXX

I love the Austrocylindropuntia. Yours looks really strong and healthy. I have a little cutting that I brought back from the South of France last summer. It was about three inches at the time and has doubled in length over the year. It's also called "Eve's Needle", isn't it? Anyway, it's an interesting plant and if anybody will manage to get this to bloom it's you, Lyn! Cactus Power and lots of love and sunshine from the East Coast! : - )
So happy you love them too Jutta

How did you cut it? It grows wild right down the alleyway from my girlfriend's house. Im not sure how to cut it? I did pick up a piece that was broke off by someone but the base looks a little black and white like it's fungus or something? I was thinking of cutting it back to where it's green, but then do I plant right away or do I have to wait for it to scar over?? Thank you!!
Lots of repotting going on 😃 wonderful time of year 👍🏼

Hi... I would like to know what is the best way to water cactus? From the top or put the pot in water and let it soak awhile? Just started this as a hobby and I don't want to kill my cactuses. Thanks
Hi Kimberly

So happy you love these too Rebecca, they are amazing :-D thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, and sending you and Libby and the beautiful Pets all lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Wednesday today XXXXX
I had one of these but it died, however 4 of its branches had rooted themselves in so I potted them all up separately, now I have two with branches and two without branches. Also one of the branches broke off one of them so I have tried to repot that and I am waiting to see if it survives! I have other cacti as well, but I only have window sills to keep them on and the heating is on during the winter. I don't really know what i'm doing! 🙃
Hi Peter :-D thats brilliant you was able to re root the branches from your Opuntia subulata, and they are fantastic to get to propagate and I bet the branch that fell off will root for you too, thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic day XXXX
