That and I believe also dog with a blog series premiered right after girl vs. monster if memory serves me correctly. But yah this is nostalgic for me I pity the young ones will never get to experience stuff like this anymore breaks my heart.

@Lydia Davidson To you it may be, but not to me. In my opinion, the jokes are not even that funny and the CGI effects were too cheaply made and executed. Besides, there actually was a time where Disney made scarier shows. Disney's "My Babysitter's a Vampire" is a good example of this and so is the show "Wolfblood" which once aired on Disney Channel, several years ago.

In a novel I like a disaster causing monster attacks a town and 4 teenagers end up caught up in it. 3 of the kids start transforming into monsters themselves while the 4th is the girlfriend of one. That kid, Ryan, is a good kid but the other two aren't. It also focuses on a group of monster hunters who are trying to stop the monster with no luck as he's invincible. Ultimately the monster and the 3 transforming teens, his sons, attack a theater and massacre the people there. A battle ensues between the monster hunters, the cops and the four monsters. At the end of the battle, one of the monster hunters manages to kill one of the kids after he can't be talked down. Killing him reveals the monster's weakness and he and his surviving sons flee. The one with the girlfriend's human side regains control when she finds them and is threatened, but he's killed by the last teen when he tries to protect his girlfriend. Now knowing the monster's weakness, the hunters attack his lair, killing him and the remaining teen. They are able to save the girlfriend though.
