hey how are u! I just found ur video i see ur comment is only from an hour ago! I'm looking at getting a paddle board and came across aqua planet brand, they also have a 'Rockit' model but the length is shorter have you come across this yet?
@@sineadni4189 Hi there, yeah I updated the comments today and I plan to do a follow up review soon. I've used (but not reviewed the rockit). It's shorter, narrower and I believe has less volume (air in it) so it won't be anywhere near as stable or quick as the max or pace. If you have the budget for it (another £100-£150) consider the sandbankstyle boards - www.sandbanksstyle.com/collections/all-rounder-isups, I've also reviewed the touring board (which is awesome) but that's £650 th-cam.com/video/xlbwgfgQXYo/w-d-xo.html. Alternatively the because sup boards are also really impressive, I've recently taken one out to review (review coming in a couple of weeks) and it's MUCH better value for money than the Aquaplanet boards. Here is my very brief overview of the board th-cam.com/video/n1r39UJT9xQ/w-d-xo.html and this is the link to the website becausesup.co.uk/collections/new-in-stock/products/108-carbon-fusion-all-round-isup You also get a proper pump with the board and it's overall much better quality.
@@Dreadysays thanks so much for ur reply!! Have started looking at Aqua Marina Vapor (2021) edition, its 10'4, 31 inch wide and 6 inch thick? 360 euro do u think it be a good board? Heard aqua marina are good. Love ur page, and ur dreads haha!
@@sineadni4189 Hi there! I haven't had any experience with Aquamarina and I have reached out to them for a review board, but never heard back from them. It looks like a good deal to be honest, but I couldn't say either way if they are any good. I'm currently on the fence about the pace and the max after using them for a few months now. Let me know how you get on and if you want any more advice on other similar boards. Check out www.becausesup.co.uk they are extremely high quality for the price, I have reviewed one recently but I'm yet to finish the video for it. They are also very friendly and helpful so get in touch with them, say I sent you and that I say hello :D Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it :D Haven't had a hair cut over 20 years now hehe.
@@Dreadysays went for the Aqua Marina Vapour (2021 version) finding it great so far, great balance when on my knees, finding my feet with the standing but its soo much fun!
Cheers Dready, Just ordered a pace last night and I was a little concerned that maybe I should've gone for the Max. Glad to know there's so little in it really. I did prefer the look of the pace :)
You will get on fine with both of them. I strongly recommend getting a better pump, I'm planning on reviewing the HP6 range of pumps this weekend. Let me know how you get on with it bud!
@@paulwatson3577 I'm out tomorrow (as it's going to be a nice 15c) so I'll be sure to do a side by side of the cheap 3 litre pump compaired to the 7.5l one. video should be out Sunday this week (21st).
Hello, love the video, find it really really helpful,as you know what you are talking about, any ideea which of the boards will be better as you progress?maybe even be better at catching some waves?dose the shape matter in this?
Hi, thanks for the kind words and I'm glad they help. I would say the Pace is the more progressive shape in terms of being surf able. However neither of these are any good in surf over 3-4' as they have thick rails (sides) and lack the firmness to really dig into waves. For small wave fun they are fine though and they will catch swell with little effort.
What do you think of Aquaplanet's WINGTAIL SUP, cannae find too many reviews of it online. It is only 10cm think but has a decent nose rocker, exey though :|
@@mangout01 No idea, I did try and get hold of one for review but they weren't interested. I've gone for the Sandbanks style 'wave' board. All the kit I've had from Sandbanks has been great. Had to return both of my Aquaplanet boards last year :(
Have you tested the Moai 10/6 SUP? if so which board would you go for between the 2, me and my girlfriend are really stuck on which board to go for, we have a budget of no more than £500
@@aaronmace4871 hey bud, it's a tough call. Aquaplanet boards have let me down so I wouldn't recommend them nearly 10 months on. Because sup are awesome boards but £450 each. Not checked out the other brand you mentioned. Buying sups at the moment is rough as they are so popular now. What you get with becausesup is quality kit, awesome pump and a fibre glass paddle. Sandbanks style are also good but over £500 for the all rounder.
Hi Carl, I've tried them both in small 2-3' waves and the did ok. As these are cheaper boards don't expect too much. I'll be reviewing the sandbanks style 'wave' surfing ISUP in 3 weeks to do a real comparison.
If this video was helpful to you please consider liking and subscribing. This will help me grow my channel and be able to provide more kit for review.
I'm currently planning on a doing a 10months later review of these two boards. How have they held up and are they truly value for money? Stay tuned!

Thanks for the videos Dreddy. Just ordered a Pace so really great series of vids
