Kevin Warren is a boss. On one hand, Chicago has amazing views and the lakefront - hotels, restaurants, museums, shopping, public transportation and millions of tourists a year. Arlington Heights has one Metra train line to Chicago.
One is an absolute nightmare to get to and from, is extremely restrictive in space, little to no parking, etc... The other is far easier to get to and from , has much more space for the stadium, parking, and surrounding development. Arlington is 10x better than the lakefront option. Not to mention the Bears own the land and would fully own the stadium. Lakefront option they wouldn't.

I heard one comment against a dome - if Chicago wants to host a Super Bowl or a Final 4, this stadium MUST be a dome. It also has to have enough capacity - like 80,000, which might be an argument for AH.

The Fans will still be dishing out big money i live in Tarrant county and the food at cowboys stadium is cheap looking but expensive. You have to eat at a decent place before you go.

Do you understand the amount of tax revenue a world class stadium with surrounding brings in? When politicians want you to think you’re getting screwed they use tax incomes based solely on what the stadium itself brings in tax wise. Everyone seems to forget a world class stadium hosting massive events sells out hotels, people need gas to travel to said location, people go out to eat all over the place, people stop by local shops to check out, etc. I don’t think a lot of you realize just how much value a stadium brings to a town. Indianapolis is literally what it is today because the city built a stadium before they even knew they had an NFL team on their own dime. Once the Colts game in that entire city took off.

Plus, they stressed that the delay or issue with building in AH was the taxes but that is negotiable and a terrible reason to stop all plans when they would easily make up that money over some time. For everyone wanting to attend a game or event there we would need access to parking lots and hotels. Chicago doesn’t really offer that without a ton of walking or having to Uber.
