Maybe that bird on the button was an Egret. The round plate with the half-round square was a deadbolt lock backplate. In what imaginable context is all these coins thrown and left all around in the middle of nowhere? And you leave your orx behind, just driving off? Leaving it? Unconscionable.
Hi mate, coins are the most common thing to find with a metal detector. For thousands of years the only real work was in the agricultural sector, a lot of people worked the fields and also walked the footpaths for many centuries. Its very easy to lose a coin, even in this day and age you can sit on the floor and all the coins in your pocket can simply fall out. You get up and walk off and they are lost forever. I detect certain places where I know I can find coins - Hills, footpaths, close to towns etc. Maybe I left the ORX behind because there is a new detector now :) :) :)
Great thank you for your reply, also I now understand Gary, another xp'er on here also made me aware you also search what was used for market places and forts, that is now in rural areas. I'm beginning to grasp it now.
@@Lookin4Things you are welcome, I always welcome comments and spend a large amount of time replying to everyone. I like to talk to the people who are taking the time to watch my videos. Hi Nigel, thanks for the very kind words. No, I actually haven't, I would not even know where to look for such places. I only really detect local to me
Definitely not mate, its a really tricky question is it worth the investment? It depends how passionate you are about the hobby and how many permissions you have. In my case I am hugely passionate and pulverise the same old permissions time and time again. If I can hit some extra signals then its worth the money for me
Haha, I will need a son at some point to continue my family name.. I remember this video well, it was sunny and warm, I captured lots of scenic footage and as I recall it made quite a pleasant video. Difficult to make finds on that place but I love been there!!
@@blue2isle yes mate, totally agree. The places I detect are not blessed with millions of hammered silver hammered and gold staters like you will see in other channels. And of course, this time purchase at your expense, two pairs of exactly the same coils hook up a electronic oscillator to both setups at the same time and again at your expense. Thank you. LOL.
Hi, no comparison or testing here, just a day out with my XP ORX, filmed at the end of summer 2021 😁
I jave been metal detecting for 8 years and have become very good at looking at a field and knowing I will find coins in it (or not) 😁
Gareth another very well edited video, gorgeous countryside, have you hunted any English Civil War sites in the Dales?
Hi Nigel, thanks for the very kind words. No, I actually haven't, I would not even know where to look for such places. I only really detect local to me
I bet there's not double the performance in the 2 machines as in the price mate
Definitely not mate, its a really tricky question is it worth the investment? It depends how passionate you are about the hobby and how many permissions you have. In my case I am hugely passionate and pulverise the same old permissions time and time again. If I can hit some extra signals then its worth the money for me
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire its like when I upgraded to the equinox 800 from the nokta Simplex there's no way its a £600 better machine
@@greyhound0z it is if you are a beach or pasture detectorist
1 day I parches ditector . super video
Hello & Greetings Sunil, thank you so much for visiting my channel, it is very much appreciated. Have a great day :)
jeeezy peeps at 7m that is the biggest clod I have ever seen.
Hi Dave, its not easy pinpointing with the 13 inch coil so I have to dig bigger clods
Heron!
Yes haha thats the word I could not think off, mind went blank (which seems to happen a lot these days)
Heron not stalk lol
Haha that was it, I had a total mind blank 🤣🤣🤣
Great Egret 😜
Yes, its a stork. It means you will be a father again soon :) dunno if that is good or bad news lol
Haha, I will need a son at some point to continue my family name.. I remember this video well, it was sunny and warm, I captured lots of scenic footage and as I recall it made quite a pleasant video. Difficult to make finds on that place but I love been there!!
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Beautiful footage indeed. I think some times the place and people you meet IS the find rather then the things in the ground.
@@blue2isle yes mate, totally agree. The places I detect are not blessed with millions of hammered silver hammered and gold staters like you will see in other channels. I am a real detectorist and a hard working detectorist and try to bring something different to this platform. Its been proving quite successfull and is clear to see lots of other channels now blatantly copying what I do. Have to try to take that as a positive even as much as it pains me
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire You definitely bring something different to the table. And also, you are getting better and better. I saw your 4 first episodes yesterday, and its clear to me your camera handling has really improved a lot, its less stress, more scienery, you seem to be in better mood now (although its totally fine to have shitty days). I like that you also film your breaks and other non detecting topics to mix it up. Love when you ditch your Deus 2 in a river or a pool just because you can :-D You keeping it real. If others copy you, then take it as an honour. They cant be you anyway, and its always harder to be someone else, so it will look less real in the length. Btw, my fave channel beside nuggetnoggin has always been Terragermania, and I get much of the same feel here.
@@blue2isle well thats a strong compliment been in the same sentence as those 2. TerraGermania is cool but not the biggest fan of nuggetnoggin, its too fake, planted finds etc. I'm currently watching a channel called Tassie Boys Prospecting. Its a guy who goes out in the wilderness of Tazmania looking for gold in creeks and streams etc. Really good watch
herring bud
I'm not very good with birds haha. Stork or heron I thought
why didn;t you detect going down the bank you were jiggling like heck think of all the people who lost money ab bits going down there, mind you it looks like it would be ruddy difficult you could hardly walk down it 😉😉🤞🤞
I did detect it, but not on the camera. I like to take my viewers on a metal detecting journey, this means capturing other clips of me walking inbetween locations or exploring etc. My channel features a lot of this kind of stuff. Some people hate it, some people love it 😁
The rock is shist
Hello there, thanks very much for coming along to my metal detecting channel and watching this video. I hope to see you again on some of my 300 other videos. Have a great day. Gareth
