I know this is a >reading< vlog, but right now I feel like going to bed earlier today just so I can wake up 5AM too 😂 I usually read before bed so you can imagine how easy it is to stay awake until well after midnight. I love these types of vlog!
❤❤❤❤ i read when i can...im up with my daughter for school at 5am so i read for a little bit then she goes to scbool then i read some more....love these videos
I’m not a morning person, but I’m trying to get up earlier these days. The problem is, I love staying up late! To help with my reading, I’m watching my favourite book tubers past sprints (including you!), it really helps me concentrate. Best Wishes 💕🗝️ (I just did the key. I wasn’t feeling frisky)
I listen to audiobooks during my work hours and have one physical book I read at night to get me off my phone before bed. I get about 30- 40pages in before the book is watching me sleep 😂. Thank goodness for nightlight timers!
Another wonderful video! I can relate that I have no problem getting up early, but I struggle going to bed early. I read sporadically throughout the day. I definitely need a more structured reading routine.
I thought that beginning clip was the lead up to a sponsor 😂😂😂😂😂 Hell yes 5 am club!! not me tho, I'm a 6am girlie 🤣🤣🤣 but yesss reading in the morning is the best! Loved this vlog, loooveeed all the moments you fell asleep 😆 I'm sorry but that was so funny. 🔑🗝🔐 I hope this wont be taken the wrong way Mel, but idk what happens with the music clip at 30:34-36 😅 I thought it were bumbebees at first, but then it buzzes again and I think its the sound clip being too loud? I turned my volume down a lil 😂
🔑 🛶 I work PM shift, some mornings I am reading at 8AM. My morning reading routine is the best! I also keep an audio book downloaded for my twenty minute commute to work and home again. Love your videos, Mel.
🗝I could never read first thing after waking up. I need at least an hour to be able to use my brain. I have a WFH job so I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I read whenever I have time and I usually get into bed by 9 or 10 PM and then read until 1 AM. I'm a night owl.
I’m the same way! I love waking up early so my days feel long and I can get so much done. If I sleep late I feel like half my day is wasted and it completely throws the whole day off for me.
i can vouch that the julian parts in DH hit SO much harder than in MP. during the LWH i was upset but in TGU i was absolutely shattered edit: i am so so glad you enjoyed throne of the fallen as much as i did! i was very impressed with and imo its some of her best. hoping the next one is even better!
I def have a routine in place for my reading. And currently 9 minuts into my first reading hour of the day. But had to finish your vlog 😄 you did very well with the early mornings! I Got up at 7 every Day, not weekend. And I couldnt do earlier for sure. But I Also read way too late into the night. Even for 7 o’clock 🗝️🛳️
🗝🗝🗝🗝I have the Throne of the fallen and need to read it. I gave Good Girl Bad Blood a 4 stars when I read. I am reading The Mistake by Elle Kennedy right now and really liking it so far
As someone who gets up at 5am everyday to go to work; I can understand how it can be difficult to get up that early on the weekend as well. I am also very guilty of not being able to get to bed early and it definitely bites me in the butt, especially when I have to wake up early.
You have to read Daisy haites second book. Solely for the ending if anything and the explanation needed - Also the last 6th and 7th books are based on Daisy haites 😅😳
I may have a solution as to why you were feeling extra tired waking up on Sunday for 5am. I just recently learned through a podcast, there's such a thing as "sleep debt" and when you're not sleeping your regularly scheduled hours and disturbing your sleep pattern you gain "sleep debt". This debt never really goes away even if you try to sleep like 9 hours the next night to offset it so I guess it just carries with you for the rest of your life lol. Sounds dark but I found this really interesting.
⛵️ I do most of my reading from 7pm-1am but if I’m feeling crazy and it’s sunny I’ll read outside from 1-4pm💕 I sleep at 1/2am and wake up anywhere from 10-12 (do not recommend this routine I have a chronic illness that affects my sleeping)
I will say reading the daisy hates books on kindle with the footnotes is a better experience! cause you can just tap the number and it'll just pop up quickly!! also Team Julian haites hehehehe
🗝️ Not the Disney movie intro 😂 The only times I woke at 5 was when I had to get up for exams back in high school. Now it's a sign of my sleep schedule freestyling. Nothing else could wake me up when I don't wanna. Sleep >>>> everything else Omg finally ggbb 😌 this series is where each book keeps one up-ing the previous. Like literally 1 < 2 < 3 Reading routine : read whenever! 😂 This month I have been reading a lot tho. I'm on book 13 rn 😶 (even idk how that happened)
Its 9 right now and im just finishing your vid. I have to work 730-530 tomorrow. Im really thinking of just going to bed now and getting up at 5 anyway.
I have heard that the things you do first in the morning can be what your brain then wants to do more of. Like if you wake up and scroll on your phone for 30 minutes, you are more likely to scroll more during the day than if you hadn't. Sounds like that is sort of happening for you with reading!
Listening to you talk about MP, DH, and the context in the parallel timelines makes me think that this series could be a tandem read contender. But I’m also not sure cuz I’m currently only 100 pgs into the first one. Maybe someone who has read the series could answer that question? 🤔
You disliking daisy is so validating bc one i read about 20% of it and just couldn't get into it bc I found her so insufferable and two we have a very similar taste so I know to trust your opinion and give it another shot tho only after you do and give your full thoughts 💀 ALSO thank you for reading a tempest of tea I read it bc of you and adored it that ending is living rent free in my head so much growth from her first book
I also didn’t like the first Daisy Haites book but since you loved the Julian & Magnolia content PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GUCCI DO NOT SKIP Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing!!! I promise you it’s less about Daisy & Christian & more about Julian. It’s personally my favorite in the series. All of the Julian content in it is the best thing in the whole MPU universe
I really tried to read this book but magnolia and bj would just get me sooooo mad!!! I had to pause so many times because of how mad they would get me 🤭 but it was a good read since there’s not a lot of books that made me feel so much like this book 😅🤭
That ending of Magnolia Parks: Long Way Home deserves jailtime. My mouth was on the FLOOR when I finished that book and I'm still processing like 3 months later.
So, if you're looking for a badass female protagonist who uses femininity and wit as a weapon and is not like the typical warrior type, then try out daughter of the empire by Janny Wurtz and Raymond. E. Feist.
I know this is a >reading< vlog, but right now I feel like going to bed earlier today just so I can wake up 5AM too 😂 I usually read before bed so you can imagine how easy it is to stay awake until well after midnight. I love these types of vlog!
Lol, you woke up at 5 am for a full week, while I’ve been struggling to even fall asleep before 5 am 😂 Sincerely, an insomniac typing this out at 4 am
Girl your DEDICATION 🙏🏻 as a not early morning person, bravo 🙌🏼
❤❤❤❤ i read when i can...im up with my daughter for school at 5am so i read for a little bit then she goes to scbool then i read some more....love these videos

🔔 as a mommy of a toddler and a pre-teen, I have to squish in reading whenever I can.
I love this book video so much ! Your reading vlogs always eat 🤌🏾

Really loved this vlog. 🔑
So jealous of people who don't have to wake up at 5 or earlier normally 😂

i loooved this intro, Mel!! so cute 🥰
Do you annotate every book you read?

I feel like if I tried this I would end going back to sleep 😂
So glad you loved Throne of the Fallen!!!!! 💖
I’m the same way! I love waking up early so my days feel long and I can get so much done. If I sleep late I feel like half my day is wasted and it completely throws the whole day off for me.
I love waking up early too! I’m excited to continue reading the magnolia parks universe
I didn't really have Kingdom of the Wicked on my radar so far, but you just made me want to read it 🤩
I'm very early but it's a pleasure to watch you
I’m sending you all the love❤❤❤
i can vouch that the julian parts in DH hit SO much harder than in MP. during the LWH i was upset but in TGU i was absolutely shattered

Julian is the love of my life. You need to read his perspective!!!

I try to read before bed and I always read on my commute. I gotta try reading first thing in the morning lol
You have dedication…. I would have given up as soon as my alarm went off lol
Never been so early!
🗝🗝🗝🗝I have the Throne of the fallen and need to read it. I gave Good Girl Bad Blood a 4 stars when I read. I am reading The Mistake by Elle Kennedy right now and really liking it so far
You say you can’t believe it’s already been a week and I say I can’t believe it’s already been 45 minutes lol
As someone who gets up at 5am everyday to go to work; I can understand how it can be difficult to get up that early on the weekend as well. I am also very guilty of not being able to get to bed early and it definitely bites me in the butt, especially when I have to wake up early.

why magnolia park covers are like that?😂😂😂
Because Jessa Hastings drew them like that and they’re way better than the new covers
I was also wondering that.

Omg I didn’t like Daisy Haites either. I just didn’t like her and Christian together.

I personally loved the 1st book of AGGGTM, enjoyed the 2nd… hated the 3rd (oop) 🫣🗝️🛥️
