In the last 8 years, he made real money by riding one horse and taking a bite from a tasty apple, close to 80% of his portfolio. He panicked, sold big chunks of the stock, and lost big. There is nothing to invest in now. He is waiting for the stock market to crash. He keeps waiting. The old strategy does not work anymore. And most of his fortune WIIL not go to philanthropy. It will be controlled by his kids.
how about buying companies and raiding there pension funds. where does that fit in!
to most people family IS legacy. you can literally do both, be philanthropic AND leave your family lineage well off. jack arse. if he doesn’t mind history being written about his offspring & familial generations after him being impoverished & destitute then go for it. that will be apart of his “legacy”
Indeed Buffet is a great man.
He is nota clown. !
Haha values HaHaha
Nobody becomes a billionaire morally.

COLD HEARTED it appears he does not value his family
Pakistani?
buffett is a great man
He's being compassionate by not wanting to ruin her granddaughter with wealth. She can't handle an inheritance without bad consequences.
if you read more into it, all she asked for was a $40,000 loan to repair her broken home and he refused rudely.
@@smallbeans101 No means no. Maybe she can convince him to give her just 40k but at the end of the day you will have to be forced to accept their answer if they choose to stand on their decision to deny you, regardless if you feel it’s unfair. He seems like the “Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for life” type of guy. He doesn’t seem selfish with his knowledge and apparently he is charitable so it’s kinda hard for me to outright say he’s selfish with his money. I’m blessed my parents gave me money when I needed it and do feel for her because it really isn’t a lot to ask your billionaire father for and I want to be charitable to both my kids and society not just one or the other. Regardless, I think she should forget about the money and make the best out of her situation and try and soak up as much information from him while he’s living and use her being his daughter as social proof to leverage connections. Not brag about it but if asked about her name say Warren was her caregiver at a point in time
Not his granddaughter.
Warren made that clear to all his kids. Same as many celebrities.
there is more to the story than what you stated. I'm glad he did it and taught her a lesson. He's right. She is not a Buffet. She is a Step child of a Buffet. Not the same.
if you have a father like this you dont need his money you need his wisdom to teach you how to make it
