Glad you enjoyed it. It's actually 100% the clarinet. Buy one and you'll sound just like Tom :) Obviously I'm joking but our new A clarinet is excellent and with how even it is through all three registers and how spot on the intonation is the player is able to focus on creating beautiful "musical sound phrases" (one of Tom's favorite terms) instead of expending energy "muscling" the clarinet with endless embouchure adjustments just to get it to speak or tune correctly. Interesting. I couldn't find the beat in the first two sections. Is it meant to be in 3 or 1? I suppose the subdivision would always be 3. He does seem to like to play with 3 against 2 which is pretty intriguing.
