Once again an excellent video my man!!! If you don't sell cars you should. I think I've found the right car for me. These days finding the right car is more stressful than buying a house!!!
I bought one new and I am still loving it, I would not trade it for a new one i take care of mine and I am still taking very care of it, I had a few accessories.... and honda doesn't make the touring the same anymore with the entertainment system and the three row crome grille in the front 😊😊😊❤❤❤. Love my 2017 honda pilot touring its 6 years now since I bought it .
I test drove just about everything of this size vehicle, and i ended up with the Touring Pilot, So far I love it. The 9 speed takes some time to get use too but when you learn how its supposed to work It works great. It was not my first choice in crossovers because I really liked the Mercedes GLS 450 a whole lot more in every aspect, except the price. But I guess you get what you pay for. I just wish the Pilot had a few more ponies to tow a little more but I guess I will just use my truck for that.
Honda needs to give the Pilot Touring full LED headlights & fog lights. And give it dual exhaust again. And give it a different nicer remote than the one in all the Honda cars for this price
victor almonte I wonder if Honda does that to separate itself from the MDX. If the Pilot offered some of these more "premium" options, it may cannibalize those MDX sales because the Pilot is a good bit less expensive. They need to justify that premium price for the MDX somehow, they typically do that by offered get features on the premium brand that are not available on their main brand. In other words, they are holding back so they can make more money.
Yeah first thing I did was took mine to one of my local automotive light shops and had them convert all of the ugly yellow halogen bulbs to LED makes it look so much cleaner and makes it look newer everybody kept guessing it was a 2010 or older model because of the ugly yellow bulbs.
I had a Honda Accort Kombi with 2.2 disel and I was very unhappy👎 there was a sound of splashing fuel in the tank could be heard clearly I knew I had half the tank 😄 and it was very loud driving on the UK, France highway I wonder if you can hear the noise of the tires in this model, I had to use earplugs, this car was produced in Japan for the EU market
I'm not a fan of those Aluminum control arms, with a large triangular portion removed from the middle, for some reason, especially for something with off road capability. The Direct Injection is a problem as well. Toyota has fixed this with Dual Injection.
There is a flat "door" in the interior back of my Highlander (2017) - on driver side - when I open it there is a hose and a little tank looking item. I'm thinking this is for water for the back window - am I supposed to fill it back there? I'd love a video of filling all the items that I might need to check - like, oil, antifreeze, water or window fluids (and why which type to use) - where are fuses and which ones should I use? I don't normally have to do these things but am going on a 2,000 mile trip by myself and I just thought I should know these things. I don't live near my dealership - plus in a video I can watch it more than once! I appreciate all your videos but especially those on my Highlander!
Yeah that made no sense to me first thing I did with my 2017 touring is took it to one of my local lighting auto shops and had them convert all of the ugly yellow 1990s technology halogen bulbs to LED. Made my visibility at night over 300 times further and clear.
I want to see an update. I want to see a truck like design a 360 degree camera a electric parking brake And mostly I want to see a actual Center console instead of using a arm rest mounted on the seats
Just purchased this vehicle and it's a big transition from my 2005 Ford Explorer. Your video was great, but I noticed that my left mirror drops when in reverse so I'm going to google this a bit more. Your video answered my question on why the left camera does not show that side of the car/lane when changing into the "left lane".
The interior is amazing, but the outside is blah. I wish they had kept the out going boxy design language for at least one more year with that interior.
Hi Mike, Great video. I was hoping to find out what the two round things are in the front interior on the piece that separates the windshield from the front side doors/windows. I called the dealership where I bought my 2017 Touring model and they said they were subwoofers. I hear no sound or vibrations coming from them. I have no idea what they are. Are you able to tell me? Thanks.
I was planning to purchase a touring 2017. But now I am bit scared after reading all these news about transmission issues. Is the transmission issue very common?
I had a Ridgeline with the same transmission. It was fine as long as it was warmed up. When cold it was very wonky. It seems to be common with the ZF brand transmissions.
How do you rate the 3rd row seats compared to other SUVs? Which do you think is the best? I’m planning on buying a 8 seater SUV but I would like adults to fit in the 3rd row comfortably also. Thanks
Awesome video and very informative , thank you for a great job .....1 thing.....the visors.....extend out if you need to have better coverage from the sun. Great great review of this wonderful car. A+++++.
MikesCArInfo Congrats for your video. I am driving my Pilot Touring smoothly so far (Here in Canada the Touring equivalent to the Elite for the US). What Caught my attention in your presentation is the detail of the LED light blue above the rear-view mirror, I mean on the little panel for the buttons to open the moon and sun roof. I purchased my Pilot 2017 Touring in Alberta the last Feb and on this Little panel above the rear view -mirror I have noticed a slight difference with the panel that you show us. In my Pilot 2017 there are 2 smaller blue LEDs next to each button for the moon and the panoramic instead of just one light blue btw buttons like you show and they are almost imperceptible unless you pass your fingers close to the buttons. Did I wonder why that difference on this panel and what is the function of these LEDs? . Regards
I want to buy the full options pilot because of the ventilated seats and panoramic sunroof but it comes with 6 seats and I prefer 7 seats. Will it come with 7 seats in 2018?
In the description below the video: Model: 2017 Honda Pilot MSRP: From $41,670 MPG: Up to 20 city / 27 highway Towing capacity: 3,500 to 5,000 lbs Dimensions: 195″ L x 79″ W x 70″ H Horsepower: 280 hp Seating capacity: 7, 8
Your right, for the MOMENT It is a ZF, but Honda is readying a launch of their own 9Speed auto, I presume for 2018. I have the ZF in my 2016 Elite and at first it had psychotic shift behavior. Since mine was one of the first to roll off the line, I assumed there would be a remapping software update to correct it once enough Pilot's were on the road sending information back to Mothership Honda. Sure enough, a few months ago, I bugged my dealer (Motorwerks Honda- Barrington, Illinois) to search for a service bulletin. They updated the software, and let me tell you-- ITS A WHOLE NEW VEHICLE. Shifts are much more intuitive, crisp and now the vehicle feels really fast. Really allows this motor to run how it wants to. So, if you buy a Pilot Touring or Elite used, make sure to take it to the dealer for that free remapping/software update.
I'll just wait for the 2018 Touring Pilot and hope for a better updates. Anyway how much is the mileage of your 16 Elite Pilot now? After the software update any nitpicks you found in the shifts?
yusukegarners --so far so good. 49,000 miles on currently. Once in a while at low speeds I feel like it hunts a bit, but no different than any other auto transmissions.
Hi Mike, can you tell us, what will happen if the key is 100 ft away while the car is running? Or if the driver step out while engine is running and somebody took the without the key.?
I am confident that 9 speed transmission is fixed in the Pilot Touring or Elite after the first year with some problems. In my case, I didn't purchase the HighLander Limited because the 3rd row is really a punishment room absolutely no functional for passengers unless you have little kids. I couldn't accept the idea of paying around 50K !! for a SUV with the incredible limitation of moving 4 (2row w/captain seats) o 5 people (2nd row w/Bench) only. In this case should be really better paying less for a Ford Escape, a Toyota Rav4 or an Honda CR-V.
*Roman da gamer* Yeah its true, Mazda has always made very beautiful cars. But it is the exception. Hondas and Toyotas can't be uglier. They are hideous.
Thank you for watching :)

Thank you. I just purchased a used 2017 Pilot. Low miles. This video help me select this model.
I am currently looking at a few of these models. What do you think of it?
Harold Yama, I’m thinking of getting this vehicle as well... do you still like yours?
@@galorih2046 yes, I added a trailer hitch to mine thru the dealer.

I just got this one today and its such a smooth suv🤗😊
Still like it? My dad just bought one used and then I've been seeing (through research)about issues with the 9 speed push button transmission.
I have a hold on one of these. Final negotiations happen tomorrow afternoon. I hope it all works out. I love this car

Did you get one? I just purchased one and I love it🥰

Would be nice if this model came with the everything it currently has on it along with a Moon Roof. Someday these car manufacturers will get it right.

Me too. Prior Looks more like SUV
My shifter is different.. I don't have a snow button
How tides this stack up towards reliablitiy compared to the Highlander?
How can I do whit my driver Seat, I don’t like, every time wen I get off or when I get on,the seat moves 😢

The elite comes with seven. 3 in the back 2 infront and another 2 for driver and passenger
Soryy I mean I need three seats in the middle row not two ( I consider the third row as two seats)
How much does it tow?
What is the fuel economy
What is the horse power ?

Hey Mike, May you please review a 2017 Civic EX-T.
I can't decide between the Honda Pilot EX-L RES and the Toyota Highlander XLE AWD. Can someone help me?
Drive Gaming compare the size of cupholders, that is what i do....to decide....just kidding.....😀😀😀😀
The Highlander has cramped back seats. The Pilot has better backseats. But in other ways, the Toyota is probably better quality.
Great info thank you
Can you do more of the EXL pilot
My dad doesn't have a smart phone so can't use the navigation system. 😜
