A little backstory here. I grew up watching and loving the Fab Five at 7-8 years old. I loved watching the Fab Five and devastated when they lost to North Carolina. I didn't realize then that 4 years later Mateen Cleaves of all people would lead to the exposure of what needed to be exposed. I would not fully understand what was happening when Steve Fisher retired. I didn't know that I would be praying for Michigan to "keep the losses under twenty" and watching UM get thoroughly dominated by Michigan State and obviously not winning against OSU enough. Beilien gave us 9 wins against Sparty and kept us non-suicidal against OSU in basketball and football. He is the basketball version of Bo.
HUGE MSU fan here, and I have to say that the Big Ten is losing a gem! One helluva coach who I respect so much! I hope the UM/MSU rivalry continues to be intense with whoever gets hired next. Go Green!
