Cool and calm, the crucial last fourth ball, Bai is focus and overcome the psychological intimidating disadvantage playing against men. She can truly inspire women players in future. Well done.
And Scott had too much ego to lose to a woman refusing to forfeit the game when he needed 2 snookers to win even if he cleared the table with maximum points @8:04 He could be a real gentleman to go & congrats her for her victory but he chose not to.
Her progress in the last year or so as a snooker *competitor*, not just a player, someone who has not only the snooker ability but also the mental wherewithal to win matches, is now apparent -- it's rather remarkable, really -- the last red was an excellent pot, and her cue ball control and hence break building ability is much better today than in the past
Just imagine if Scott didn't have too much ego to lose to a woman refusing to forfeit the game when he needed 2 snookers to win even if he cleared the table with maximum points @8:04 We would have never witnessed that great pot of last red IMAO
Kevyards don't get carried away now. She's got a good cue action and probably the best female player, but nowhere near good enough to challenge most of the men.
Wow what an amazing player she is , I would love to play a few frames against her to learn a few things. Because playing better players only makes you better and she’s proving she’s as good as any man who plays snooker. Massive Respect to a Brilliant player of the game of snooker.
She has a perfect stance and form , her cue action is smooth and calculated and she has the perfect bridge hand. I think if she can get to the U.K. championship tv rounds she will inspire many more young women to take up the game. She’s proving that women can compete at the same level as the men and they should be treated equally. It would help if the winner of the women’s Championship was given a place by right to the televised rounds in the big tournaments, look at what Caitlin Clark has done for women’s basketball.
Bai Yulu had already become the first woman this century to win back-to-back matches at a ranking event with victories over Jamie Jones and Farakh Ajaib. Now she will be on her way to enter to the last-32 (if she beats the next opponent) and make more history to inspire people especially women around the world!
Lovely composed last frame from Bai. Very tidy amongst the balls and a good potter- all she needs is matches to take her game forward. Occasionally an odd shot choice or a bit casual in some areas- it's only matches that improves that... She seems to have everything else...
A much better title, that's what it is historic but not surprising from Bai. She just needs to hold her nerve when it comes to the top level players but a good tournament win against one will give her the confidence to probably see her go on to win a title in the next two years. I hope someone shows her the comments on these TH-cam videos and shows her the spectators are rooting for her.

You mean to muster up the class of lisowski. yeah I don't think she will beat him. She will have to play her best to stay close but I could be wrong Jack is pretty up an down with forn.
I wonder what was the best female result while playing against men tournament-wise? Like, this is qualy, did women ever made it to main draw somewhere meaningful?
Bai had already made history by beating Jamie Jones in her previous match. She is the first lady in snooker to qualify for and win a match in a major snooker event.
Nope, no woman got this far and neither won 3 straight matches until yesterday. It's very unlikely that she wins today's match against Lisowski, but regardless of what happens tonight, what she's done this week is remarkable.

@@xplaybwoix you think mens will let this slide without doing anything.... she have her chances but after that she better be a lot more better to win again vs mens.
Good win, but excruciatingly slow. I know they're "taught" like that but jee wizz it isn't entertaining to watch someone get up and down from straightforward shots. How can she ever get in a flow playing so robotically?

It's playing ability not psychological

Wow what an amazing come back from 3-5 down. Solid couple of 50+breaks in last 3 frames. Great to watch. Well done Bai. Now the big Lebowski x
That last red was a great shot ,👏👏👏
She's awesome.

@@johndean4765 Jealous of a woman? You can always be a trans LOL
Amazing good to see some challenging player for tour
Wow. What a talent
Incredible win , what brilliant potting!

15 breaks over 50 in 3 matches, that's better than many men! She can certainly pot some balls. Needs to improve on safety.
her safety looks good no? the speed on that yellow was great
Better than men who don't play snooker.
If she get past lisowski that would be monumental achievement
Lisowski gonna pot two consecutive red balls in in a row.... 😂😂
Absolutely no hope
Jack I'm afraid has all the talent and should be in top three of the game but sadly something is just missing between the ears
its a massive ask, lets just hope she can at least make it competitive
She took those really really well. Good to see how far she can go

Congratulations Lu. You have my support always. The sky is the limit.
Cracking result 👏

Absolutely well done Bai
Fantastic cue action, Bai! She's one to watch, looking forward!!
Could tell she was nervous towards the end. Deep exhaling and getting up from her shot to wipe her cue. Great win.
@5:30 @6:30 and @7:30 match ball virtually. Well done
All very impressive shots under the pressure but I'm not sure you know what match ball means
What a beautiful little talent

Possibly the real deal and yes her medium range potting game is amazing
This match, best of 11, had 3 different referees - is that a record?!
So, so much skill and potential on display here. I wish her well, the sport needs more prominent women players who can compete with the men.
Why?
Go Bai go go
Nice break. Well deserved. 😊
Bai vs zhao will be amazing
7:25 what a sweet cueing!! :***
Great player.
Not too sure why Scott kept playing thought that was taking the mick personally
i love her
Bai performs open heart snooker surgery
She had to win 3 frames consecutively or she was out. Great play.
Cool customer.
7.5K in the bag and history made.
There is always a question of whether Scott had a very bad day or Bai had an amazing one. Or both? ;)

Lose outski would give up snooker if he lost to her
She plays realy well but if jack plays well she will lose
Always great to see a woman rise, within the ranks. Unfortunately, she is yet to muster the class of Jack, in the final.

Bai yulu only.

😮
When Kyren Wilson playing?
She will get found out when playing actual decent players . All this woke BS
That EASILY can be a moment when we see her LAST time
Huh ?

@xp
Yeah I’m not too sure what they meant either.
Donaldson so not wanting to lose to a female, carries on with ZERO chance to come back. LOL.
This tiny little cute thing ❤❤
It's unfair to her to play Lisowski next, I wished she had an easy opponent. She deserves to be in the event
Unfair to play Jack??WHY? you can't have a successful snooker career only playing low ranked players.
Why should she deserve an easier draw? The rules are the same for everybody.
Oh dear Donald Scotland 🙈
Scott basically just broke down. Simple as that.
She beat Scot who's a top 16 player?? 🤔
Dreadfully dull 😑
that Donaldson guy is he an amateur or what? very poor standard for a pro player i must say lol 😅😅😅
Not been the same since he was injured by the covid vaccine, unfortunately.
She had 15 x 50+ breaks in her 3 matches.
This is called unconscious bias of sexism on action
He was so bad unbelievable but credit to the woman
Thai ladies have more bottle than the Thai men , apart from Noppon
She’s Chinese.
She’s not Thai she’s Chinese lol
@rab
And what of Chinese players like this fine lady Bai Yulu?
She's Chinese

Stan Moody is worse. He gets up and down for almost every shot, scratching his head or going round the table twice or thrice in between 🙄
Damn it. I wanted Scott to win. Especially given he was 5-3 up. Bro was robbed in broad daylight
How so?
How can you be robbed losing from 5 _3 up 😂
😂😂😂
Bai made 7 50+ breaks in this game, Scott only made 1. I don't think Scott played very well to be honest. He's been very patchy just lately.
He is not worth supporting. Bai is worth more to be supported than this non famous Scot 😂😂
last fourth? wtf are you talking about, she's not beating anyone these players are barely in the top 100, I could beat them
constantly running out of position like every single female player does, she still plays at club level
