For anyone interested, the Latin motto for Munro College shown at it's entrance, 'In arce sitam quis occultabit' translates to English as 'A city set upon a hill cannot be hid.'
This brings back so many memories. I first saw all three of these very fine and impressive educational establishments on my first visit to St. Elizabeth and Jamaica back in 1984. I subsequently lived in Southfield for two years, from the end of 2006 until the end of 2008, and during that time attended two functions, one at Munro College and one at Bethlehem Moravian College, but sadly not one at Hampton School. Thank you for a superb video Fire Reid. Long may you continue with your much appreciated good work.
Great morning ride very refreshing, I am seeing so much now of what I had missed out of when I was living in Jamaica.Thank you for the tours.Stay safe and many blessings.
Thank you for this tour of Malvern. I love the buildings and retaining walls made from cut stone. The elegant sprawling Poinciana trees just gives that nostalgic feeling of home. Thanks again. I shall return.
Bethlehem Moravian campus looks no different from the time I was a boarded college student there. Nice to see Hampton and Monroe campuses also. Great schools.
THANKS FOR sharing this video, I haven't seen that side in about 15years, the roads were worse then but it was a great experience. The PLACE has changed a lot since then. 👍👍🇯🇲🇯🇲🇨🇦🇨🇦
Oh, Fire Reid! What a beautiful place! The place and structures are absolutely gorgeous. These structures are the most beautiful structures in Jamaica. The area and the schools compound are so clean, so imposing, wow! Love it, love it! Love your videos. I would love to see most of Jamaica looking like that. Thanks Fire
I love the Munro tour that where my Grandmother worked for years, she is now retired. I remember those days walking up to the College to meet my Grandmother also going to the Post Office, what a beauty.
So many times been up there (last time graduation at Munro Prep last year), but never seen Munro, Bethlehem and Hampton close up (Hampton just the dormitories) wonderful to see. Thank you.
Totally appreciate this tour Mr Reid. As a St. Elizabethian I never got the chance to visit these land marks. Now I get a front seat with you on your journeys. Thanks so much'. Totally appreciated
So nice and cool in Munro i use to sit and admire the lights of the college every night when i was growing up in Bluntas District where you can view all the Santa Cruz mountains, lovely view from my district.l love what you are doing keep it up.
Good morning Fire my brother blessed love and greetings as we welcome another day I can only just add more to say these scenery and scenic views are just so beautiful and greenery is so splendid natural and organic sweet JA it's so attractive 🙂💕💯🇯🇲
What's up fire Reid......make sure you vote for your melons and tobacco your farm on a whole.....bless up and give thanks as u continue your journey giving us these amazing videos of our parish and country
Thanks fire, would love to see more of the views from malvern - the mountainside of the community, heard they do paragliding up there; also the route from there to Santa Cruz please.
@@FireReid the video quality is excellent! It was meant to be watched on big screen. I can see your windshield when the sun shines on it. It's so clear. It's like watching the national geographic channel.
I would like to say how much I have enjoyed your journey through St.Elizabeth. The homes are beautiful but I would like to see more of the homes, less of the roads and the bushes. Can you angle the camera so we can get a better view..please. I watched a one through Ingleside Manchester and the views were far better.
Are there homes in the area? I notice that the educational institutions are all for boarders. I notice only a few residence. Do many people live in the area? It appears to be quite and peaceful. I would live there. Thanks again.
Mr. Fire time for a new video about Monroe please. Please report on the re-opening plans etc. What’s it like on Camus now, are they back to face to face learning for Sept.? What about boarders, are all boarders welcome for enrollment for sept.? So much I want to know about Munroe. Am in the US, still can’t travel as yet but is trying to gather info about the school for my son’s sake. Thanks for all you do. Your videos are very informative.God bless.
Hi Fire Reid thanks for sharing but if you are showing a building you need to focus the camera and move it around so we can see a good picture and do it slowly thank you
Hello Fire Reid, merry Christmas to you. I am an ex Hampton student, so really enjoying this video. I come from Flagaman District and was wondering if you have any plans to drive through that area in the future. Thanks for the videos Gillian
Like Malvern and would have loved to have moved there. However walked away from the sale as something just didnt feel right. ...........It's called instinct!
Munro Preparatory not Primary. JPS has only three windmills in the area. The other more prominent ones are owned by BMR a private company. Thanks for the tour but improve it next time with correct data. Some history of the area and the institutions would have been nice. At Hampton School you showed the administrative buildings and persons have gone away thinking those were the dorms. The signs at the institution tell another story...one sign read Hampton School another Bethlehem Moravian College, yet you did not name them correctly. Actually, the Malvern Library (a branch of the JLS). Commendations nonetheless.

A man by the name of Robert Munro left some money in his will back in 18 when to build a school for the poor boys of St.Elizabeth.
very informative
Wind farm
Wouldn't it be nice if they had just resurface the road instead of patching it up.
