Well done! I wish I'd had someone next to me to teach me when I started, it would have made it so much easier and less intimidating. I started my canning journey about a year ago. Looked into it about 4 years ago, bought a presto and it sat there and sat there because although I'd watched 100s of videos on the topic, I was terrified to try it. I finally got up the courage to try it and I was a bag of nerves and anxiety through the roof. I was extremely proud of my first effort. The next few goes I was still anxious, but after the 5th or 6th go, I was confident. Now I'm knocking out jar after jar, and what a fantastic feeling it is to have shelf stable meats on my pantry shelf offering long term food security. A brilliant way of preserving the glut of healthy, organic home grown fruit and vegies from the garden. By the way, I can't afford the ball mason type jars and I use upcycled lug lid jars for everything I can and have never had one seal fail on me yet. You can also buy new lug lids online too.
