I'm dying, love it
Sen Der I wouldn't call it "playing"😂😂
I'm dying as well, but not because I'm pleased

@@belgianvanbeethoven Hi Beethoven!

"FORTISSISSIMO IS THE ONLY DYNAMIC I KNOW OPERA SINGER"
Too real.
you can say Del Monaco and Bonisolli
My roommate swears I know only fortissimo ^^ Poor man hahah He hasn't even heard fortissimo yet. Yes... I know, I'm a bad roommate for practicing at home ^^'
@@thaliarice3891 Or it's just Wagner.
Fortissimo is the easiest dynamic to sing in correctly, so yeah, that's as real as you can get. :D
I can relate when singling fortissimo as a male singer though. Some high notes just can't be hit without it when modulation isn't available lol.
bless the accompanists of the world
P I A N I S T S
plz don't hurt muh feelingz
BrianDMS my utmost apologies
finally Forfeited thank you
ALWAYS THANK YOUR ACCOMPANIST
"piano is easy all u gotta do is push the keys"
"the notes are always in tune, u just have to press them"
Yeah keep wishing opera singer
nigielee ok
“Playing keyboard instrument is easy. All you have to do is press right key at right time and instrument plays itself”
~JS Bach
Well yes you only need to push the keys... but it doesn't mean it's easy at all 😂💔
"piano is easy... here, chopin"
*proceeds to play a Beethoven piece like a six year old*
i woulda slapped him right then and there
Oh my gosh, I literally screamed at that part DX
What was that piece anyway I wanna learn it☺😅
Winter Girl Moonlight sonata movement 3.
I didn't even recognise it, oh my god!
Piano takes up so much air that by the end you are basically passed out
the scarf is soooo true, and the germaphobe is such an accurate depiction. Actually had me laugh out loud. All you missed was a big bottle of room temperature water.
I feel guilty for carrying a water thermos now ^^
Or the portable steamer. Or the cup of tea.
Actually bringin a 1 Gallon of water... 😂😂😂
So true
I'm a teacher and sometimes I literally think of wearing a scarf in summer (I don't work at a school so I do have classes all year round). It just saves the voice so much...
"I know music is hard for those who aren't gifted" *hair flip✨*
whEeZe
It hurts...
......Yes it is... *looks at the person who said it to her pointedly* Actually... Did you hear me sing some notes earlier in pain because I'm treating my knee because I tripped... I may be clumsy but I am talented... Unlike you... 😈
Lol, I like roasting people.
I've been classically trained for five years as a soprano, and can admit sadly that every other soprano I have worked with fits into at least one of these categories, and they range from angry 70-year-old church ladies who lost their voices from a bad cold and are trying to rekindle their former passion to pompous sophomore girls whose entire repertoire comes from the Phantom of the Opera original soundtrack.
I'm a high school senior, an aspiring opera singer, and what you just said is literally the story of my life, haha.
Entire repertoire is the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack... too real!!!
I’ve been in show choir for 4 years and have been classically trained for 3, and honestly all the things you’ve said here fit for contraltos (I’m a contralto) as well
Oh honey, I feel you. Keep working hard and developing and improving your voice. A hard working, and well-trained vocalist is so valuable and wanted in the professional world. Don't be crass, but don't take crap from other people either. I'm honestly willing to contact you personally if you want some tips and if you have questions.
1. I am also a classically trained soprano & I'm sometimes germaphobe singer.
2. I visited your channel & you have such a beautiful voice! I especially love your Just Around the Riverband cover! 😍
"Chopin: " *proceeds to butcher Moonlight Sonata*
Seriously haha. I couldn't lol.
I didn't actually recognise what it was it was so garbled.
WHEN SOMEONE SAYS PIANO IS EASY
Ikr
Piano is really hard haha
BrianDMS ikr I played piano for 8 years, but I am absolutely incapable of playing something when I see it for the first time. Yet, people always expect me to play everything perfect and maybe even improvise...
Mihai Carstea so true it hurts
THAT IS WHERE YOU’RE W R O N G
4:45: OMG my late husband really COULD sight-transpose things by a half or whole step! He'd prank me by starting the intro to some violin solo a half pitch higher and when I came in, it sounded awful, and he absolutely HOWLED with laughter. Bless 'im! Favorite memory.
♡
Wow he’s so talented! Also love the dynamic between u two 😍 Hope u r doing well~
@@veronicachow Well, my David died 14 years ago, and I miss him EVERY DAY. You could say I'm doing well, because our kids are making a go of it, though they were young when he died. And I'm all right because I can still live in our home, thanks to inheritance from my parents. But I think of him every day and wish that the Steinway that's ensconced in the basement could be heard every day now, as it used to be.
@@snowyminnesota6028 that's so sad... Even though i don't even know you, your story touched me😢
I also lost both my parents quite young, ... Nothing worse than losing a loved one, can make life seem utterly pointless.
@@Lasse3 Grief is not the same for everybody. It sounds like you are still feeling the pain and loss part. I too can go to that, anytime I'm in a low place. But much more often I'm grateful for all the good times, for what he added to my life that has made me a better person. A better parent, a better colleague, a fuller individual with broader perspectives. Of course I wish he was still here to share all the present joys. But all our time together, it was rich, and we were loyal. No one can really ask more than that, and many aren't so fortunate.
Brett is triggered the whole time
Dana Del Mundo i agree
Dana Del Mundo Está sufriendo mucho pobre.
brett always has that face
he's always triggered lol. love these two
This channel makes me remember that there is good comedy still on TH-cam as well as talent of course.
What are you doing here? Go back to sleep, you have school and the sending of the calling card tomorrow.
Ehhohoho Ehh Go *Bach* to sleep
Feels bad man when you drop new music on the accompanist
Brett looks so done
As he always does 😂 and Eddy always looks like a meme king.. don't know why though^^
HAAAAHAAAAHAAAA 😂 "kachikawawa" *dat costume*
*also note, whether it's in classical or pop, us singers do have the tendency to be primadonnas. On behalf of all of us, I am sorry.

I felt bad the entire time
Not me. I’m perfect. Always.
Me... A singer who's just like a singing couch potato.
Hej, as long as you sing wonderfully, we forgive you! I don'tknow about the other musicians though....
"I think I angered my ancestor"
Me XD
JingYi Teo what is this means? Don't real understand it
@@lazycat2961 It's karma, your ancestors are looking at you and expecting you to do well, if you anger them by misbehaviour you are treated to some bad luck (I think)

why is all of this so real omg literally this is half the opera majors at uni

Hey Mr. Business, how do you do? ;D
AYYY TGWDLM
I just have to say, pianists who can work with singers are so talented! My first ever recital, I got super nervous and forgot which verse I had to sing(total rookie mistake 😅), but my accompanist was totally professional and just replayed the intro bars. Like, seriously, she was so cool about it, and without her that recital would've gone way worse than it did. Much respect to the accompanists out there!
As a vocal music major, this is WAY too accurate 😂 bless all the collaborative pianists out there accompanying us doofus singers 😂😂 I like to think I'm not one of them but far too many of us are like this lol
“i have to breathe i’m not human”
i thought breath control was a thing you were supposed to learn while singing???
When singers complain breath control is hard just show them Cappuccilli singing any Verdi aria. The man had pretty much infinite legato.
Omg Eddy is just amazing. Giving so much of himself in these roles he's playing
I am the savior that tells everyone when and where the video starts
Thank you 🙏

KingDragonCat you should be practicing
waiting for you to get banned in a non ironic way.

I’m in college to become an opera singer and let me just say... these are painfully accurate. I am guilty... I am the germaphobe and *sometimes* the one who doesn’t get the music in the right key. But only if I know my pianist is capable of transposing and I have done literally everything except pay someone to transpose my piece. Also, when eddy started singing ave Maria, I LITERALLY got the chills. This was very entertaining. Thank you
You would get real chills if I sang that for you
Brett you play the piano? I thought you only played the *viola* :^)
*violin ?
will everybody shut up about violas already :'(

Overdoing your vribratto is not only an opera singer problem.
Agreed.Music theater warbles are even worse!
As a classical singer, I have to say this is so accurate.
To be honest to *both* of them: well, it can't be easy to practise your own stuff when the choir next door is practising Funiculì Funiculà at full volume.
🤣🤣🤣 you made my day
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Am I the only one who'd like to see them do some legit serious violin recordings? It's rare to have great musicians also be great comedians, so why not exploit both? Maybe a second channel? :O #TwoSeriousViolin
Spheres they have some here in TwoSet :)
But they didn't make the playlist.. Sometimes i also do want to hear all their cover but very hard because i didn't make a playlist to it..

How do you know if someone’s an opera singer?

Who's this kachigawawa guy? He seems to have composed countless peices and created his own line of violins, I keep hearing his name but for some reason he's not on the repertoire....

Pianists deserve affection for all that the soloists have put us through!
*cries when someone says Piano is easy*
As a person who goes to a music school and has been trained classically as an alto and pianist for more then ten years, i can say that this whole video is painful for me to watch, because i have never mat a person like this in my music school or anywhere in my country and to imagine that there is actually people like this in the world makes me sad
The Pavarotti in the background, maybe... 😂😂😂😂😂👌
That was something else. I don't know if I was supposed to keep a straight face or not. I didn't. You guys are so much fun to watch.
1:50 reminded me of finding nemo when dory "speaks whale"
Oh my gosh - so, at band camp (all good stories start that way) one of the musicians (an oboist) was telling us that we have to make sure to sustain longer notes for the actual values. There is sometimes a tendency to let them trail off. He mentioned that there was a particular singer (who, of course he does not mention the name of) who would often cut the long notes short and go onto the next phrase. Well, I guess HE had an arpeggios during one of these long notes and had to deal with her just cutting him off and going onto the next phrase.
I can't do this story justice, because he was JUST SO PISSED. Like this was a guy in his 70's probably, retired from performance for the most part, and now teaching...and I got the impression that this may have happened YEARS ago and he was still just ANGRY...which didn't really fit his personality for the most part. He was patient and soft spoken quite often. I can't remember the exact quote but I think he ended his story with "You'd think a world class singer would know how to count to 4..." or something like that. He didn't swear, but the f'ing was implied. Whoa.
0:07 Eddy sounds like my grandfather doing a ritual.
is that a towel? XD
5:13 The best opera singer in this day and age
I do classical singing in school and some long phrases are problematic because I have asthma, but at least my lung stamina is better than that lol.
I'm an opera singer, and i'm not like that but i have a classmate who acts just like that and i know that attitude can be so annoying
Isn't eddy just being himself 😂
Oh god at first I was ready to be offended but then I was like "fair enough"
You forgot the ‘my personal life is more twisted than a Wagnerian opera’ singer who just loves to tell it all during practice !
4:30 natalie dessay style
We should start a twoset cult and sacrifice violas as a gift the music gods.
Mmmm... they forgot my type.
THE ASPIRING OPERA SINGER SOPRANO: Look, my dudes, I can hit a G6 in full voice. IT'S EASY I JUST HAD TOO MUCH DAIrY TOdAY. I did it yeSteRdaY

You forgot the kind that inhales way too much
'Who do you think I am, a publisher??' XD
Eddy actually has potential. Maybe he should learn opera singing seriously and them sing while playing violin lol
Why is this so accurate and fricking hilarious?
I'm a clarinet player who had never really sung so I took some voice lessons while I was working on my teaching credential. At one point the teacher gave me a song in the key of E. I almost blurted out, "I'm a beginner, can I sing with four sharps?" when I realized, singing only involves whole steps and half steps! The number of sharps or flats doesn't matter! Singers have it easy!! :)
Lol “ I think I’ve angered my ancestors” I feel that on a personal level 😂😂😂
'See how easy it is, here - Chopin' *plays Beethoven*
I gotta say, looking back, that last singer has a point.
"kill me"
