I have very serious cranial cervical instability. I flew to this clinic in Colorado from California. They were not a warm office at all, the doctor snapped at me, acted seemingly confused and skeptical, and said they couldn't diagnose me until I go get an $800 x-ray which I couldnt afford. I would have somehow figured it out with the help of a family member if this office visit was respectful, but I didn't feel comfortable to borrow $800 if I were to return to the same maltreatment and skepticism about my condition. They ended up charging me $350 for an office visit though they originally said my visit would be covered by my insurance. I suffer everyday of my life, I do not have quality of life, I rely on chiropractors to temporarily function. This clinic had no interest in helping me, and even if they did I couldnt afford it. They said this PICL procedure isn't even guaranteed to cure and some people need to do this more than once, and the prolotherapy also doesn't always help. So that's thousands of dollars toward something that has a low chance of helping. They werent convincing, so I gave up. Only wealthy people can afford to experiment in this way.
I'm 33 and use to be a college athlete. I was diagnosed with upper cervical instability and I have been workout intolerant for 2 years. After covid it got way worse. it's hindered my whole life. Im often off balance, dizziness, air hunger when working out or trying too. Sometimes I have swallowing problems when drinking or eating. Constant Brain fog, occasional nausea, don't handle stress well at all. Tinnitus that hasn't gone away in 7 years. Visual snow hasn't gone away in 7 years. I've had my atlas adjusted many times. Do cold showers everyday (definitely helps). I went to see a prolotherapy doctor and didn't do it cause I didn't feel I trusted him. He just kept talking over me. I definitely have a vagus nerve issue as well and I need this fixed! I've tried many diets and ate clean...It's miserable at times, but im living with it. I really miss running and lifting weights and feel and smell like I use too. It's like my whole nervous system is SHOT! 😩
Pam, did you have popping at C7/T1, crackling at C1, dizziness, TMJD, and snapping of your left scapula with your CCI as well? Please help me! I’ve been suffering with this since 2019.
Has anyone worn compression garmets to help with neuro feedback if you have vestibular challenges with CCI? I am looking for more of tank top If so which brand do you recommend? thank you
I believe this is what I have. I was recently diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and scheduled for nerve blocks end of month. But I believe it's more than that. I can't extend neck down or back w/o causing shaking and stuttering for hrs or days. Many more symptoms. Tried to explain to pain Dr but they said they only had little time. All started after car accident many yrs ago caused herniated disc which I had disc fusion in 2014.
I have been told I have central sensitization ,burning crawling stinging stabbing vissable vibrations and twitching in all mussles everywhere even face and mouth and pots swolen lymph and severe sweating and fevers I also have weakness in lef leg and dimished reflex , could this be cci ?
Hi James, Possibly, but there are other conditions that could present similar symptoms. I recommend visiting a local clinic or if you're in the Denver area, call our office.
I'm sorry. The only clinic that does this is in Colorado, the Centeno-Schultz Clinic. To create the sterile environment needed for the the PICL, as well as the orthobiologic processing involved, there is only this clinic for now.
They mention at the end going to regenexx coverage to see if you are covered, but it just says office visits and PT are covered. So I’m not sure what he means?
Their the same docs we went to elementary school with. That scares me their in it for the money its easy for them to misdiagnose you and send u on ur way they get paid from insurance and thats how it goes this world is shit
I've been getting extensive Prolotherapy with PRP for the past six months I've had a total of 5 treatments on my neck the lady told me in the beginning my neck was moderately it wasn't severely and stable but I did have nerve problems going down the arm and it affected my nervous system which affected everything in my body is that normal when you have cervical instability and did you suffer with problems with vertigo and disequilibrium did it affect your eustachian tubes thank you

I wish the treatments weren't so expensive! Its unfortunate for so many people! Even a sliding financial scale would help many.
We are being farmed they could make this procedure cost 2000 to 3000 even 1000 but then they would be loosing 10000
How much does it cost

I got similar procedure done in India with PRP for less than 1000 USD.
Hello Pam. Did you have tinnitus with your instability? And if you did did it go away after your inability was fix?

I wish we could get prolotherapy covered by insurance. It's been proven to work. It's cheaper than surgery

Does anyone know if there's a gyrostem therapy location near Denver that they recommend? I wonder how many sessions are needed and what the cost is.
Amazing story!

How are you now? I have all these symptoms and was told central sensitization i also meet criteria ME/CFS. I'm looking into CCI.
What is the procedure? What is PICL?
Can any clinics in Texas do this for CCI?

Oh man, do I need this, I can’t bend my neck for longer than 30 minutes without getting nauseous.
Does this help with disc herniations in the neck and stenosis?
