James you are definitely the face of farming 2024 and you have an amazing group of guys around you - keep at it and one day folk will realise you cannot eat wild flowers
James, I’d be interested to hear how you plan to manage the rain water off the vast expanse of roofing you have created. The spray/chemical shed would benefit greatly from some super water storage
Good to bonus the team for their great work. Showing this recognition means a lot and the cost pales into insignificance compared to not getting a harvest completed or crops drilled in time 👏
Another good update James, the shed of dreams is looking good . If I was younger and not the wrong side of 50+ yrs I would put my cv in for the job vacancy.
James, in the depths of the winter when there is not much happening with the farming (and you are maybe short of video content) please send the camera along for a few days with the PX trucks to show us where the grain you produce gets sold to. 👍
Hi James, U are an engaging, enthusiastic entrepreneur, Lucky to have your cousin Michael, Agronomist like a vet/stockman, knowing when a crop needs attention,as they can not speak like animals, solving problems before they become disasters. Hope you understand ,as not as intelligent or articulate as U. How you cope with everything happening on the farm is mind blowing. Take care and Good luck for the winter.
I agree with your Lorry driver! I drove a lorry for 25 years and when in Europe the facility’s are far better and your far better looked after, trouble is the motorway services charge you £35 ish to park overnight so no wonder lorry’s park in lay-bys then you get your fuel nicked you can’t win.
Brilliant James , this has to be the best farming channel on here , hope it goes from strength to strength , may you all have a great christmas and a happy new year , best wishes Mark
Your enthusiasm in farming gives me a buzz I was in farming over 40 years down to a small holding now but can't wait for the next vidio thank you James and team px
Hi James, good to have a brief catch-up Tuesday. I've been in direct contact with our MP again since Tuesday, afterge gave a disappointing TV interview. Hoping maybe we get him on farm soon. At time of writing the Election petition is at 1.3 M !!
Loving the Barn of dreams. Or could it be the barn of requirements and you could do a portable version for your lorry drivers. The stop over of requirements - shower, mini canteen etc??
When you get that shed finished and all your equipment and spray store in place it will definitely be seen as " Paradise by Peck" when you stand in there looking at it all
Another great update, the Shed of Dreams is really coming along nicely now! Think the metering of your fuel is a really smart move that you won’t regret in the long-run. Great to hear that you are getting some positive moves, at least currently, with your local MP. Sandy did a great job with the interviews in London, got stuck right in and had some decent questions! Thanks for the content as always.
James great video.Great that you get your team involved doing some of the video clips. Great to see farm/estate maintenance mentioned and being carried out. It’s sad to see the infrastructure of contracted farms gradually falling into disrepair eg roof gutters running over / hanging down, barn doors closing due to maintenance, trees hedges not being cut back leading to shading of crops/ loss of field area etc, etc etc. In some cases if it can’t be done from a tractor seat jobs don’t get done , very poor basic farm/ estate management THAT ISNT TAUGHT AT UNIVERSITY 👎🏻👎🏻
Great video James the shed looks huge with the walls up and is really taking shape, now you did mention about a workshop in there is it worth having a pit dug, out before it all gets concreted 👍👍
Excellent as usuall and highly informative,re the van could you not get it wrapped ..sheds looking the part also..Thanks for your time and effort in producing these updates..👍
Instead of paint-spraying the red van. James. How about getting it rapped to your PX farms green. Like you said, you were looking at doing but sprayed. Getting it wrapped will cost less and may help on resale values as well later on down the road.
30 years ago a Farmer friend of mine stated there was nothing more he would like to see than walking into Leicester and seeing 2 men fighting over a loaf of bread "then maybe the politicians would realise the importance of Agriculture".
James, sheds are always hard to justify economically. Provides very little ROI, and the payback period is long. Will be great to have the gear inside though. 👍
Good to see your local MP Ian Sollom (Liberal Democrat) is engaging with you and showing an interest in your agribusiness. I believe it will be a big eye opener for him and an educational visit seeing as he is from a non agricultural background. The Agricultural community who are in Labour constituencies, need to rally together and put diplomatic pressure on their MP’s to persuade them to support the agriculture community. Sadly, it will be a hard job as irrespective as to how they react to the dialogue from the farmers, they will always be looking after themselves and their parliamentary positions within the Labour Party so they don’t fall foul of the Party leaders. Great to see you are actively clearing out dykes and getting them to run, a very important and often forgotten activity amongst farmers. Back in the 1960’s (before you were a twinkle in your dad’s eye) my father used to put a dyking machine on the back of a Ford 4000 and all it did through winter was clean out dykes. Great content and good to see staff members giving camera time to their respective activities. 🇬🇧🚜👍
You could call that new buildimg the 6 million dollar shed.😊, maybe you should go combine driving in australia, get s bit of practice in then you can show you can get to the top of the leader board at harvest next year
Great video, as always, James. Think you have named you're shed. Shed seventy three!! One thing I know for sure is that i won't be here to celebrate with you when you have paid for it. Lol. Cheers.
Another great video James really glad you told the none farming community how long it his going to take you to pay for the Shed Of Dreams as people pass your farm and say why are farmers saying they have no money when that farmer his building a new shed so he must be able to pay the IHT. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW ABOUT RUNNING A FARM Keep smiling and laughing James ever one on here is backing British Farming
You should get your staff to paint the van in rustoleum combicolour, can be brushed or rollrered on self levels and doesn't leave brush stroke marks. The tv program flippin bangers painted a suzuki 4x4. Might be worth a look on their web site.
Businesses should not pay inheritance tax (IHT)-this tax shouldn’t exist. Imagine TESCO having to pay a 20% tax when their CEO dies! Why should family-run firms bear that burden while large corporations, like those owned by private equity, simply don’t have to? Let’s get TESCO to pay 20% first. We need a tax system that encourages businesses but clamps down on avoidance, and this isn’t it. Labour clearly has no clue.
Strictly all businesses held by private owners are affected. The rather dopey government doesn't realise it's discouraged the whole economy for a tiny tax take.
Great video, I suppose a 60 yr old Irishman no use to you 😂. Currently on Ukraine/ Moldova border, minus 10 C here, will get colder also. All the best.
great video again, like the ditch clearing and drainage, the investments you are doing is amazing and the planning - one thing is there a wheel nut missing on the truck? would be the 6 oclock position be safe from essex
I seem to remember there were a couple of Dowdeswell ploughs, Deutz tractors, possibly a JD 6400 and either a 6 or 8 meter KV drill and I think you were in a mobile home. It is great watching your videos and great to see how far you have come with determination, commitment and hard work. Well done.
James, I’m curious with recruitment are you looking for people or someone with experience and knowledge in farming or do you take people with no experience in farming or driving agricultural machinery and provide training etc etc. Im 34, 35 in December always wanted to join the farming industry but I don’t have any experience or knowledge of farming. Cheers Alex
you say it is a good week to sit in front of the fire to keep warm ---- it would be even better if you could swap the logs for reeves & starmer ---- although they would be too green to burn well
Get the van "wrapped, James. Far less expensive. And, if you need to sell the vehicle, you just take the wrapping off. My business purchases white vans and wraps them. White vans are easier to sell and aren't at the whim of what every individual likes, or doesn;'t.
Great to see more farmers before this government came in doing further expansions. On another note. Sign the Government Website petition for a new election. It is over 1 million. Just keep pushing for more. How many people live in this country. So why are they not signing?
May I humbly suggest that, if you have members of staff and colleagues who have expressed an initial wish not to be included on film, then respect that implicitly. The internet is a weird and wonderful place, with lots of unknown and unintended consequences. I am certain most people do not have your ballast and resilience. I rest my case !
Truck driver issues ah Hmmm my lovely favourite issue! Pleased to see that the Australian Govt($5b in debt) is offering $10k for tradies and $20k for NZ police to relocate, plus flights accommodation offsets and offer incentives. Won’t be long till UK truck drivers start!Bet ya they will forget to tell them 6 drivers die at work every week! I was in Hospital for neuro surgery recently 80% of the operating staff were British. Imagine desperate to leave a country only to find you can be paid to leave anyway. Isn’t great our governments know how to live beyond their means
Fathoming drainage and Ditching issue's is one of the most important winter jobs It's the very worst left wing politics I have seen since Harold Wilson was in .Very damaging to most people who work hard .
next summer if (I hope I get this right) is it tom your cameraman, if he loans us a micro SD card I'd love to come to get you guys some cool drone footage, i got flyer id and operator id for the big Mavic 3 pro, & if your building crew ever needs a last-minute hand just google me and WhatsApp me I'm only down the road over the hedge to Cambridge machine sales 💙
Thank you for putting the end piece in talking to one of your drivers about the problems we have as lorry drivers and the lack of facilities...
James you are definitely the face of farming 2024 and you have an amazing group of guys around you - keep at it and one day folk will realise you cannot eat wild flowers

Many thanks for showing us.
Thank you James for this upload much enjoyed as always.Regards😊❤😊👍👍
I'm 74 in 2days so I will be 99 by the time you finish paying for your shed.
Hopefully I will see your retirement video on TH-cam .
Another good update James, the shed of dreams is looking good . If I was younger and not the wrong side of 50+ yrs I would put my cv in for the job vacancy.

It is always a pleasure to see you and your guys
The government are wholly clueless. Plenty of farmers on X reporting cancellation of new sheds & other investments etc.
You must understand the government have a Marxist agenda and they know exactly what they are doing.
Just seen an advert for sheeting, prices slashed. Obviously due to supply and demand.
See the Tremendous Team Work there, great stuff! And Now..... Rabbits!! 🐇🐰 We are going to need to have some P.X. Farm 🚜 🐰 Recipes!!
Have a look at wrapping the red van. Might be cheaper than spraying. Looks great shed. Sure is a stormy week 😅
Loving the Barn of dreams. Or could it be the barn of requirements and you could do a portable version for your lorry drivers. The stop over of requirements - shower, mini canteen etc??
Another great video James 👏the new shed is coming along nicely 👍 a clean yard is a happy yard. Got all my drilling done last week. So I'm happy 🙂👍
Your a good man James, once again a top video.
When you get that shed finished and all your equipment and spray store in place it will definitely be seen as " Paradise by Peck" when you stand in there looking at it all

Yet another great update, James: the shed of dreams is taking shape. Keep the updates coming well done team PX ❤
James, get the van wrapped green, it’s a lot cheaper.
Great video as ever, @21.00. Do you have issues with feral pigeons, they'd do my head in seeing those day in and day out.
Hi James & Team Nice one good progress on the shed Have a good week Thanks again

Regarding the van, have a look at getting it wrapped. Loads cheaper & just as hard wearing.
Great TH-cam channel 👍
Great video James the new shed is coming on well
I need to come and look at that new shed at some point. And obviously have a good catch up..
Excellent as usuall and highly informative,re the van could you not get it wrapped ..sheds looking the part also..Thanks for your time and effort in producing these updates..👍

James You could get the Red van wrapped sometimes works out cheaper👍
Have you thought about getting the van wrap instead of painting it it a lot cheaper 😊
Another great video from the team, please keep them coming.
30 years ago a Farmer friend of mine stated there was nothing more he would like to see than walking into Leicester and seeing 2 men fighting over a loaf of bread "then maybe the politicians would realise the importance of Agriculture".
SUBSCRIBED today, looking forward to following chapters of PX Farms. 🚜 😀
James, sheds are always hard to justify economically. Provides very little ROI, and the payback period is long.
Will be great to have the gear inside though. 👍
The other perspective on payback of your shed of dreams is your eldest daughter will be 37...😅! That really puts it on the radar!!! 😊
That’s even more frightening
@@PX_Farms Or your grandkids might be the age of your children now lol

Top job as per usual Team PX! 👏👏
Great informative video as always James ❤
You could call that new buildimg the 6 million dollar shed.😊, maybe you should go combine driving in australia, get s bit of practice in then you can show you can get to the top of the leader board at harvest next year
Do you spray the crops yourself or contract out.
I have never seen any footage of spraying on your videos ?
Great video again James 👍🏻
Another great and interesting video James 👍 forget Australia! Got the beautiful shed to pay for 🤪🍻
Super video, some brilliant info. On the van.. Get it wrapped in the PX Farms colour and logo..should be a lot cheaper and quicker than spraying
Great video, as always, James. Think you have named you're shed. Shed seventy three!! One thing I know for sure is that i won't be here to celebrate with you when you have paid for it. Lol. Cheers.
Great update
Any update on 'Dieselgate'? (The disappearing litres)
Another interesting video, thank you.
Sure the Graeme of you speak (and who has been seen before)?was a farm manager at H Gingell in Horningsea - surmising you farm that land now!?
Another great video James really glad you told the none farming community how long it his going to take you to pay for the Shed Of Dreams as people pass your farm and say why are farmers saying they have no money when that farmer his building a new shed so he must be able to pay the IHT. Nice update James as to the jobs you are doing, and that you do talk to drivers yshed of dreams is looking good
PX FARMS VERY PROFESSIONAL FARMER'S. UP THE FARMER'S 🤙 🦊
You should get your staff to paint the van in rustoleum combicolour, can be brushed or rollrered on self levels and doesn't leave brush stroke marks. The tv program flippin bangers painted a suzuki 4x4. Might be worth a look on their web site.
😂
Hi James, is there much difference in price between spraying the van or getting it wrapped
Cheaper to trade the red van for an ex-Murphy group Transit van utilities/ service van, already kitted out and in your colour green.
Will you have anyform of heating in the spray store?

great video james you have an amasimg team
That’s an impressive machinery shed. What’s the size?
Great video, I suppose a 60 yr old Irishman no use to you 😂. Currently on Ukraine/ Moldova border, minus 10 C here, will get colder also. All the best.
How big is your shed? Thanks
Great Video James. Would it be worth looking at wrapping the transit van ? Might be cheaper. Thanks for the videos.
great video again, like the ditch clearing and drainage, the investments you are doing is amazing and the planning - one thing is there a wheel nut missing on the truck? would be the 6 oclock position be safe from essex
Looks like a cover missing to me
James, Have you thought of wrapping the red van, green? May be just as expensive.
Hi James people don't understand that you take all the risk ,like all us farmer do.
How far will you go , if the farmers go on strike!!!
James did you get a price to wrap the van
Great video, 7k for a spray job blimey!! Shed looks good.
Great video, What does PX stand for?
James, you mentioned a valley in front of your shed of dreams. Do you remember the valleys in Devon on a certain YFC exchange?
I remember fondly
I seem to remember there were a couple of Dowdeswell ploughs, Deutz tractors, possibly a JD 6400 and either a 6 or 8 meter KV drill and I think you were in a mobile home. It is great watching your videos and great to see how far you have come with determination, commitment and hard work. Well done.

Wrap the van rather than paint
Should be easier and cheaper to wrap instead of paint the van
How do we apply for job? 🤣🤣👍👍
James wheres your clock tower going on the shed of dreams
