An Epic, but Classic, New Orleans Wedding - Martha Stewart Weddings

  • Louisiana-based Haylie and Bradley tied the knot in style, and with pizzazz, in New Orleans. Their first step after getting engaged was to reserve the city's atmospheric St. Louis Cathedral, which was large enough to seat their 500 attendees. Its sister building, the Old Ursuline Convent, hosted the timeless, garden-party reception. The groom wanted an over-the-top celebration, and some elements of grandiosity (like a six-foot-tall wedding cake) were incorporated. Other fun touches? A digital lighting projection of flowers on the venues facade and an epic floral installation hanging over the dance floor.

Is the groom's cake Game of Thrones inspired? I feel like I'm not picking up on some obvious pop culture reference.
