@@thehex9959should do akadama but probably more beneficial in kanuma due to the acidic composition. Most Philippine species are found in that type of environment. Could do pure kanuma but even kanuma x akadama x other combos would be fine . Typically it's a lot like leonardoi care , higher humidity and see how it behaves with bright light. Iirc people assume it stays small but that's outdated, originally when it was discovered only a young population was found, after expanding the search up to the mountain summit older specimens were recorded to be 1 to 2 meters in size , so it might not stay as small as some made it out to be originally. So keep that in mind
There are some Pictures of tiny flowering argentii so maybe they might be stunted in some places and get bigger in others? Depending on conditions and microclimates? Or maybe only part of the Population is dwarf?
@@aknerfer5095 Lowii x Veitchii tends to get stripes and some flair, though it's a mix of it gets the Lowii lid hairs and exude 🤔. Should do well in most collections , but temperature sensitivity would depend on which Veitchii is used I'd wager 👍
@@lizzyappleton7258 well it depends on what you mean by cheap, and what type you're looking for. Typically within the United States there are several large nurseries of various specimens and species and hybrids. California Carnivores, predatory plants, pearl river exotics, Bergen water gardens , carnivero all have a wide range of selection and cost ranges
@lizzyappleton7258 given the variance in income I can't quite give you a specific number but yeah there should be pretty cheap or budget plants on any of those
@aknerfer5095 me 😂 , usually in warmer season my stuff is 65 or higher. Just make sure you provide magnesium as that helps it grow and be less temperature sensitive
Weow... I either missed some videos or you've done some tidy up...looks crazy nice in there now!
@@SPNX been doing plant Tetris 😂 and making room . Also all the plants love the new lights , that helped clean up a lot of the space

@@Wiseexotics is it okay to use akadama, pumice and coco chips instead of Kanuma ?
@thehex9959 yea that's fine, though make sure to rinse it . You can also sub coconut husk as long as it's rinsed and don't have salinity

wait you have the underground nepenthes?
does it produce any normal pitcher?
@@LifeofKusa yes I have N. Pudica , it produces traps from leaves , the roots however also can produce traps when it is larger

Is 18c enough of a nightime drop for eddy or eddy x hamata? Or is it a bit too warm
@@aknerfer5095 That's around 64F and mine do 60s fine 👍

@ just any magnesium or from a certain place? What do u use?
@aknerfer5095 akadama media has iron and magnesium as does kanuma . I've been experimenting with coffee water adding and seems to do the job also 👍
