For me, the best part about listening to Mr Ballen stories is being home alone falling asleep while listening to the stories then starting to dream that you're inside some of these stories only to discover a while later you were actually asleep but can still hear the stories.

I only listened to a few seconds of story #3 and remembered when I watched the Paranormal Witness for this story. It was called the Wolf Pack (S3E9). I don't think I've ever been so paralyzed watching a story like this. I COULD NOT MOVE. I noticed your 1 hour video #10 also had a story from Paranormal Witness from one called the Cabin (S2E10). That was from the only other one of those shows that I remember. And I remember these two episodes very well because these were the only two episodes of this show I ever bought.
My son died in Rock Creek, Rock Creek Park, Maryland in a "drowning". He did NOT drown. The true cause of death was a deadly Asthma attack brought on by slipping on a boulder and falling into 32 Degree water coming down from the mountains. Still, his cause of death is listed as accidental drowning. There was no water in his lungs.
When I was in my late teens (late 70s), The Capitol Theatre that Mr. Ballen spoke of was being completely refurbished. It was totally gutted. There were alot of kids and street people that would sneak around in there. It really was pretty spooky. It's said that renovations on an old building can bring out the spirits that reside there.

Guns locked away in the barn are going to do you a whole lot of good especially when you live out in nowhere. I don’t think this family realize how huge wolfs can get. They can be that tall on their hind legs. They see them as a free meal. Of course they are going to try and get inside your home. Shit be happy it wasn’t 5 bears. They would’ve made it inside without much effort. No locked door or window is gonna keep them from their meal. Wolves always travel in packs and yes they will communicate with one another. They will hop from porch to ceiling without much effort. They are desperately searching for a way in. Bet the wife let her husband keep the guns inside after that night. They tend to be more useful when reachable. Even a warning shot would have chased the wolves off. They are fully aware of what gun shots sound like and what could happen. They aren’t going to fight if they think you are armed. One warning shot would have sent them running back to the woods.

Living in the UK I can't imagine anything remotely like the story of the Maine family and their - visitors! So scary. We might see a fox, squirrel or badger in rural parts, or if you are lucky enough, a Bambi! But nothing exotic whatsoever - I am glad to say!

That is VERY strange that the police just refused to subpoena his phone records when people were sure he had his phone. Why would they do that? The phone could provide locations and last conversations. I would not let that rest until those records were subpoenaed. The family could hire a lawyer. Why would you go to confront intruders without arming yourself? Then to not get those weapons with all this going on is really dumb. My house would have been redecorated with Browning, Marlin, Sako, Rutgers and Smith and Wesson. My husband and I lived in bush Alaska for over 25 years until he passed and I had to move into town. We used to joke that our neighbors were a bunch of animals and it was true. After the first time a Brown Bear decided he wanted to come in the house we put a rifle by all 3 entry doors.
Having the guns in the barn is dumb. 1 should remain in the house for protection. There are ways to keep a gun secure and safe, but still accessible for personal protection.

That is VERY strange that the police just refused to subpoena his phone records when people were sure he had his phone. Why would they do that? The phone could provide locations and last conversations. I would not let that rest until those records were subpoenaed. The family could hire a lawyer. You don't leave it up to the police to decide that. A good lawyer would be all over that.

I used to live in that LaCrosse area, and plenty of drunk ppl fall into the Mississippi River..even when the city put up water barriers to help in certain area but no help when drunks will be drunks..every yr u can see a news reports of drowning in LaCrosse Mississippi downtown area..nothing new

here mate only a select few get tazers. Prison sentences are way less. Every prisoner must have a date of release. We'll obv there's that select few who never get our but very very rare. Our armed cops have the guns in a safe in the car & need & chiefs code to access them. Obv there's special cases were they're armed. But again, very rare. It leads to very few,,if any deaths at cops hands. Infact I can't even think of the last one. I think yrs of politicians running on tough on crime has led to crazy time. But i understand the system. They must have a body in every cell,a steady stream daily to courts to keep so many in jobs, from police,to court staff to parole officers, there's loads rely on full prisons.
