Was just discussing with family about a relation who died, reminded me how she heard “I gotta tell somebody “ in my car, and how much it moved her. Then this popped up in my feed, on Good Friday God is good. 🙏❤️
Grew up listening to Don learning to play his songs is how I taught myself how to play guitar , first full song I ever learned was he's alive , 43 years ago still play it at Easter.
I was at this concert in the early 80s at Cathedral of the Cross in Birmingham Alabama. Although his music has long since been forgotten by the commercially motivated Contemporary Christian Music Industry his songs and Ministry live on in my heart.
I went nearly 30 years without hearing this song but I've been listening to Don Francisco since I was a child. This song is a treasure just like all of his music.
As time goes on for more than 66 years of my life, I find I have become more emotional whenever I hear, read or sing anything that deals with Jesus' death or even meeting Him. I know one day I will kneel before him and I hope to hear "Well done my good and faithful servant". Even if He says, "Welcome", I would be overjoyed. I speculate more about heaven and all therein and I can't fathom it. I look forward to leaving this place more each day and maybe that's selfish. This world is rapidly falling to pieces just as Scriptures say and the time has to be near. But Praise be to Jesus for every day, every breath, everything, especially His Grace. My hope is that I will do God's will in my life until I die and beyond with Him in Paradise.
I can only wish there were more. These always make me feel alive in Christ! I also am thankful that with His grace I need not do too much...Just follow Him.
Thank you Don for this beautiful song. I'm in Australia & I have lots of your music I've had for many years. Bless you & all your family. I could listen to your music for hours. The Spirit of God is on you & your music. Thank you.
So beautiful. I knew of Don Francisco from He's Alive but never really heard his other hymns of praise to God. Beautiful words of praise from the heart!
This guys lives what he preaches and sings. His songs are available for free download on a 'Pay what you can afford, if anything, but enjoy and I hope the songs introduce you to Jesus' basis. Love his music, but much more I love Jesus who Don sings so personally about.
We have all fallen short of the glory of God 😢. what a price He paid for us all when it is us who should be on that cross. Thank you Jesus, I will be eternally grateful and eternally worshipping you 😊✝️🙌💕
The price I paid after starting your video: A face full of tears and a heart full of love. BTW- I BLINDLY stumbling across your video after YT Search 4 Artist Adele's song with similar title. Awesome personal confirmation of our Living God. Thx.
Alotta Carlotta wow Alotta, that was definitely not a “coincidence.” It was God’s appointment with you. Yes, as you say, He’s a living God and also a loving God! He loves you so much✝️💟
What a powerful song! Perfect for this time of the year. Perfect for ALWAYS. I’m in the process of reading “Heaven, How I Got Here The Story of the Thief on the Cross” by Colin Smith. This song is a blessing and compliments the Scripture found in Luke 23:43.....Jesus answered him, “Today you will be with Me in paradise.” He says that to us as well when we come to our final breath. All we need to do is believe in Him, repent, and follow Him. Jesus is worthy and He wants no one to perish.
To those of you who have been saying that this version is the "shorter" version: please paste the verses missed out, here. I've googled these lyrics several times and cannot find any discrepancies.
D G And the darkness changed to dawning. I heard the sound of voices. E A The air was warm around me. I stood beside a stream. And Abraham was speaking to the multitudes before him. The unfolding of the answer to our prayers and hopes and dreams. Then far across the chasm came a rumbling like a thunder And the Prince of Peace came shining, from His mouth the power streamed. And the walls and towers crumbled and the gates of hell went under. A thousand sang the victory! We have been redeemed! Jesus is the Lord of all, Jesus is the Lord of all, Jesus is the Lord of all, we have been redeemed!
Because, in a lot of cases, they only play that love, love, love kind of music, the kind of music that has no real depth to it. They refuse to play anything that's as deep, scripturally speaking, as this song is.
It’s where I first heard this song. A syndicated Christian radio show in the 70’s. The Larry Black Show was on a local pop music station on Sunday nights. I played it on Christian radio in the late 80’s
Dont mind my name please. I cry every time I hear this song. If I were truly the devil, I would be so jealous that the King of all that was, is, and will be, laid down HIS life for mere mortals. I would indeed know I was outclassed and outmatched. But as a mere mortal who thinks he has darkness in him, I just adore this song. I have led a life of sin but I just bleakly hope HE would look at me with some love showing in HIS eyes.
My dad who passed away 2014 he was 73 years old. He once asked a priest why did they murdered their God. The priest couldn’t answer him. My dad said if they let him live this world would be a better place.
Since you published only 2/3 of the song, it would be nice to inform your listeners that there is quite a bit more to the author's song ... maybe the best part.
I plead with you all to read and obey Acts 2:37-38 "Men and brethren what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, 'Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost'".

How have I lived almost 68 years without ever hearing this song? Wow! This is amazing!!!! Right up there with Don's "He's Alive"!
Bless your comment , I was looking for new Christian songs 🙏🏻
Don sings many great Christian ballads. Amazing.
I just found it !!

Don Francisco sings *from the heart. ... and that's where the lyrics come from as well. thanks for sharing this. A GREAT, GREAT GOSPEL SONG.*
I was drawn to this song today and the tears flowed. Thank you for sharing.
One of the greatest classical guitar players and narrative lyricists of all time.
Thank you. A great song to post for tonight, Good Friday!
Still adore this song. Thank you Jesus for the cross
Man o man....what a song! Makes your heart overflow.
I love and appreciate Don Francisco. His songs are very anointed.
A beautiful Good Friday service ❤

Beautiful..... thank you Don for reminding us how Jesus forgave us on that Cross.
I can only wish there were more. These always make me feel alive in Christ! I also am thankful that with His grace I need not do too much...Just follow Him.
There is a second half, you know
Yes very appropriate. Thanks Mike.
I was sobbing about 1/2 way through. Uncontrollably
I am right now.

It is very touching, this and " You're beautiful to me ".
Happens. When the Spirit uses us it can be overwhelming.
Wow! What an amazing song! It made me cry

His music may be from the 70's but it always has that drawing ability by Gods Blessing
Thanks for putting this together.......another favourite from the "old" days.
Thank you for sharing! Wow! What a anointed song!

True Detective brought me here. I'm ever so glad.

I will never not cry at the last line

What a song!!! Gave me goose bumps.
With tears i read all words till the end..ohhh! How great to die next to the CHRIST.
Beautiful song! Well done with the lyrics! One little error: “it’s” should be “its” (but it’s not a big deal... most people don’t even notice, 🙂).

Thank you so very much!!!
thanks for posting lyrics..
Awesome song
You're very welcome!
Wow truly amazing
Why don't they play this kind of music on Christian radio station
A very good question my friend
Most did at one time. Some still do... But most stopped and to listen to hymns you have to go on their internet station.
Because, in a lot of cases, they only play that love, love, love kind of music, the kind of music that has no real depth to it. They refuse to play anything that's as deep, scripturally speaking, as this song is.

Every time I find myself trying to earn my salvation, I remember the thief on the cross. Christ paid it all.
The next part is the best!!
Most welcome:)

the last part of this song is missing...
Since you published only 2/3 of the song, it would be nice to inform your listeners that there is quite a bit more to the author's song ... maybe the best part.
I wasn't aware that it was just 2/3rds of the song. This is how I've always heard it :)
@@youtubaholic the remainder of the song is called "Joy". It does complete the story wonderfully. Turns the dark moment into joy.
I plead with you all to read and obey Acts 2:37-38
"Men and brethren what shall we do?

What happened to the rest of the song
Love Don Fransisco
And all Jesus wanted you to understand is that we too are gods yet we pick up stones to throw at one another..
Only half the song you’ve missed out the glorious part
Why did you leave out the best part at the end?
People keep saying that but no one is telling me which bit is missing. So I cannot fix it.
@@youtubaholic here the full version. I came across yours because it was put in a playlist. Happy listening. th-cam.com/video/7RCMla5diNU/w-d-xo.html
Lord help
Dear heaven father please forgive me. I'm worse than those men and I know I deserve hell forever. Please forgive me
❤️👌
The end is left out. Really disappointed
I want to forgive everyone who done me wrong and I want to be forgiven for the same.
😇💙💙💙🙏🏼
The thief wakes up in paradise and sees Jesus rising up and power and glory and the gates of hell, I'm coming down where's the rest of this song
Great song, one of my faves... but you ended it 3/4 of the way through.
this is the only version i'd ever heard. how does it end?
@@youtubaholic I think this will take you there. m.th-cam.com/video/1igATEt3d98/w-d-xo.html
@@youtubaholic But your version would be great for a Good Friday service.
Faked m.e. out ., I thought this song was about. Jesus.
