This is the best explanation (of them all) that I've heard of that meeting and the gravity it held. Glad these two had the opportunity to describe what it meant.
It wouldve been hilarious if Rick brought them 2 glasses of milk and a plate of cookies during this talk. The reaction from the audience would be priceless
certified goats no one right now will ever match these two they did not cheat, they were just THAT GOOD thanks for the memories jimmie and chad. you will always hold a special place in our hearts
How cool, crazy, odd and unbelievable is that story! So impressive that the two of them, who were oh so close to winning two championships before that, changed their ways (Chad more so) and ended up doing what they did after that. Bravo.
I'm not saying Jimmie Johnson wasnt a good driver, he was, but hearing all the stories in hindsight about all the "extra engineering" Chad Knaus put into the cars he brought to the track each week... Johnson was lucky to work with him and owes him for much of his success. I think if Knaus was with any other above average driver... Chad would have made that driver a champion too.
A few weeks ago I heard about this story. It’s crazy something so simple can help a drivers career a lot.
