The printer was a bit complicated to hook up th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.
I followed this vid. w/out any sound. I didn't have any compressed air so I blew inside the terminals as hard as I could, I was amazed that this solved my problem. Printer works like new again! Thanks for the great video and help.
I have a question please. I have a Zebra ZP450 and when i print a label it will miss print in the middle of the label. If I lift the lid open and re close and reprint it prints fine every time. Seams like I always have to open lid and reprint to get a label. Any advice would be great :)
Hi, Have you tried removing and installing the thermal head? It is possible your printer latches are bad or broken. Please look for the green latches that hold the lid in place. Make sure they are in complete and look correct. If that does not fix the issue, you can ship your printer to us so we can check it for you. We offer repairs.
Hi, It might fix it. Does your barcode looks blurry or your whole label look blurry? Are you printing from a Mac or Windows computer? If you are printing from a windows computer, check your Dithering settings under the Graphics tab on your printer driver properties. You might have to set the dithering to None. If you are printing from a Mac computer, that is how the labels come out most of the time. That has to do with the driver.
You are welcome! Ebay shipping requires you to change a format setting from 8 x 11 to 4 x 6 label format. You can do that from the shipping label page where you input the weight and size the package. There on the lower left hand corner will find a small setting labeled 8 x 11 PDF. Click on it and change it to 4 x 6. Save it. Then try to print the label with your Zebra printer and it will work perfectly.
My GK420d abruptly stops printing when it hits barcodes. The green light immediately turns red, and then it turns off for a second and then becomes amber for about 10 seconds until it goes green once again. Seems like it turns itself off and then back on. What's funny is if I try to print the same label at 50% size, it prints all the way through just fine.
Sounds like your power supply is not putting out enough amps for the barcodes. For GK420d to operate efficiently you need a 3.50 to 4.00 amp power supply.
good video, my 505 starts printing then shuts off after a few labels, but when it shuts off the PSU needs to be powercycled zebra sent a new PSU but the same thing happens. i cleaned it with the clean labels and its pretty clean
Hi, That sounds like your darkness setting might be too high and your speed setting might be too fast. Try lowering the darkness to 15 and your speed to 2 inch per second and try again. As you might know, these printers use heat to print. People assume that the darker the better but the power supply is working really hard specially if you are printing a label with too much information or if you are printing graphics. Try lower the darkness and speed and try again. If that does not work, your thermal head might be defective. What are you printing on the label? Good luck.
@@solutionsgem turns out my owkrer was printing black lives matter signs . which i told him to use this printer it would be better . thank u . now i have to put back together the old PSU. ok one question how can i see how many pages i have printed ? i have it hooked up to a zebra web server and see paramaters nothing for the page count is it under another name ?
@@NewsBroadcasting Hi, That might be the reason the printer is resetting it self. It is printing a big part of the label with very dark letters. Basically is using too much power. Please ask your co worker to lower the speed to 2 and lower the darkness until the printer does not shut off. The more information on the label you print, the more power the printer is using. You can check how many inches the printer has been used by holding the feed button and let it flash once. Release it and the printer will give give your configuration label. There you will find the Head Total Usage a the bottom of the label. It will have a number with a IN after it. These printer count the inches printed because the label or pages are different sizes.

Does this solution fix the blurry looking label ? Mine doesn’t print as sharp as other ZP450 machines
