    I could see that being useful for more than just saddle hunting. That would make a great addition for hanging stands as well.

    It's hard to tell how well this works because the demonstration did not show the actual climbing and descending. Hmmmmm? We will need to see how this gets reviewed by actual saddle hunters in year 1.

    This is pretty genius. At first I was like, what in the world?! But wow, I'm genuinely impressed and their saddle does look very comfortable also. Good job HSS

      I want to see how "easy" it is to get around a limb.

    Pretty cool product but $170 for that is wild. I guess if you can determine that it eliminates the need to buy multiple dump pouches, ropemans, ropes, carabiners, etc. then you could probably still save some cash by buying this. Regardless, glad to see HSS is getting into the saddle hunting market. We need some more affordable options because Tethrd, Trophyline, etc prices are insane.

    Would like to see how well it would work on a bigger tree

      Exactly. I would say half the trees I climb is about double the size of the tree in their demonstration.

    I would like to see someone actually climbing using this! I do have one and I've used it 3 times now. The last time I used it I was coming down a 12 inch tree to pack up and leave and it slipped down with all my body weight on it and scared the crap outta me! This is my 6th season in the saddle and I've never had a linesman do that o me.

    I wonder how well it’d work in a fall with straight down pressure. Seems like it might slide more than a regular rope

    Id like to test that independently. It looks slick but the size worries me. Looks like it could handle a tree stand fall.

    I missed something in your video….now I’m a new Saddle Hunter Ive only done 50 climbs but how do you go around the branches
    I get the lineman belt concept and I like it, but it looks like your tether came out of the same unit? I’d like to see an actual example of that going over limbs, my second point would be what’s the master plan if you have a failure in your climbing or one sticks or lineman
    without a Madrock and Canyon Rope to be able to repel to the ground. I don’t mean to be sarcastic but I might as well be honest are you going to scream for mama …Or hope you can reach your cell phone and someone will rescue you? After doing it the old way with tree stands and safety ropes for me I see the light having a way down is crucial and simply the safest way to go if I went with this new system I would still bring my Mad rock & the canyon repel rope. I’ll see if I can find some more videos on this I do like the concept

    This was originally made by a company Blinded Hunting called the Q-Safe. It is spring loaded and used for a climbing treestand, as you go up just throw. I asked them to build one years ago for saddle hunting on the phone and there was silence. Thought I was crazy by the tone of his voice. Glad someone ran with the idea, hopefully works good on larger diameter trees.

    Linemans rope does not keep you from falling down the tree. Why does a treestand safety company promote unsafe climbing practices.
    Should keep tethered in from the moment you leave the ground

    • @airy-mountain
      @airy-mountain 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, neither lineman or tether would grip tree in the event of a fall like a rope cinched around a tree would. At least from what I can see here.

    • @chasem21
      @chasem21 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@airy-mountain the tether would and it is a good idea if they would promote using both as they climb. Though you couldn't keep the slack out of the tether as you climbed with the linemans
