That is the first time I seen a steam locomotive going through a dark tunnel and it was glorious. The sounds and scenery were wonderful to look at also on the rides through the countryside. To see castle ruins on a hill with a steam engine in the foreground is a treat and when I hear a steam engine taking off I just feal good for some reason. Great video, Jersey Bill

Fantastic sights and sounds. Ride alongs were great too. I had the great pleasure of detaching Pendennis Castle from her last train begore shipping to Australia. She worked a special from Birmingham to Didcot and back, detaching at Dorridge, forward light to Tyseley. No one dreamed then of seeing her return to English main lines. Nice shots of the Lady too. I must make an effort to meet her one of these fine days. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍👍

Very enjoyable, thanks. It was good to see vid of the Jinty - not a glamorous loco but neatly proportioned and extremely likeable.

Another great video & it’s nice to see the North Norfolk railway make an appearance with a Y14 ,but for me the western engine# are the real winners including your dog of course .😊

Extemely nice. We have almost no excursion runs on the east coast, usa. Just a reading 2101 steam engine a very few times each year and a strasburg, pa engine slowly run at 15 mph. You are so fortunate. Gary

@MouldyRaspberry mouldy, you are especially good with composition and a sense of what works on camera. Please do more actual trains and your layout videos. Gary

Very well kept locos, rolling stock always clean. How fortunate all of you are to have so much excursions. 'Train greatness' a quote from Al Pugliese YT channel based on Howard Zane will describe what you guys experience there. Im sure you had a blissfull time making those videos. We still fortunate ourselves here in SA to have excursions, Ceres rail Cmpany in W.Cape, Umgeni steam here in Durban. im not sure about Friends of the Rail in Gauteng province. As for luxury we still have Rovos and Blue train

Wonderful footage Lewis and I gather the one holding your dog must be your dad. You can tell he's English for he has his Wellies on. "Only the English". I found it hard filming on stations in the UK Lewis often due to screaming kids and or barking dogs. People also just walked in front of the camera without a care in the world.
My dad saw Pendennis Castle in Western Australia and had a ride on the footplate. She was doing some shunting and he was asked if he'd like a ride. Being a GWR fan he didn't have to be asked twice. In WA she looked like a fish out of water. In the UK her exhaust is a light colour whereas in WA it was thick and black maybe due to the nutty slack she was fired with. She worked together with Flying Scotsman and separately too down to Esperance in WA in 1989 in the southern part of WA. The local enthusiasts among the miners wanted Flying Scotsman but William McAlpine said no, but I have Pendennis Castle which I want to sell will she do and that's how she ended up in Australia.
I saw her at Didcot in 2000 on my first visit to the UK not long after she'd been shipped home and in 2017 nearing the end of her restoration. I saw Lady of Legend when she was still Mandy Hall a rusty hulk inside Didcot.
The only Saint I've seen was in model form at Pendon and if you haven't been there Lewis I can attest it's great place to visit. However unlike your railway it's only a show layout as they have sidings for the good shed at Pendon Parva station on the Vale Scene but no track power. Most locos were built by master loco builder Guy Williams who also built the Brunel viaduct on the Dartmoor Scene. Guy already had the viaduct four piers in length and Aussie Roy England managed to talk Guy into extending it by another twelve piers. The scenery work is second to none and may give you some inspiration Lewis.
Pete Waterman said that the GWR outstrips all other former companies of the big four by a long shot among enthusiasts.
12:06 if it wasn't for the steam Lewis one could imagine being on your railway so well have you captured the Yorkshire countryside.
I rode on the NYMR in 2000 behind Sir Nigel Gresley in the teak buffet car.
34072 at the time of her restoration she was the quickest restoration from a Barry wreck. She was initially restored at Swindon (southern fans would say "of all places") together with 80104. I rode behind a maroon sister on the WSR when named "Hogwarts Express" in the hope that the loco (Taw Valley) would be chosen for the film franchise. But the film people thought a Bullied Pacific looked too modern for what they wanted and an old fashioned looking loco a Hall was chosen instead.
I have 34081 in model form in Malachite livery. To my eyes a much better livery than BR green.
    Waffle finished.

@@MouldyRaspberry So I gather you're finer half is the one operating the camera or iPhone. What happened to your hair for when Richard of New Junction paid a visit you had a lot of hair on top. Alright that was some years back, but I see what you mean when you said you have no use for a hair clip unless it's for lower down. But only you would know the answer to that one.

What recording equipment are you using? Are you doing any audio mixing afterwards? I’d love to see a behind the scenes of one of your layout videos, from planning, filming, editing & adding sound fx.
