Truckee River Rafting was a lot of fun. It is a must do activity if you are in South Lake Tahoe area in California. We could not have picked a better day than 4th of July where hundreds of Americans along with us celebrated our independence day and had a great time rafting. It is an amazing experience for locals as well as travellers/visitors from all over the world. You can utilize the services of a rafting company like we did or you can bring your own gear. We recommend utilzing the service of a company as it will be convenient.
When you are in the Lake Tahoe area, there is a ton of activities to do. You can do camping at many unbelievable camping sites, including Emerald Bay. You can do the Vikingsholm and many other hikes.
Rafting in Truckee River is another great experience. It allows you to have a different experience than camping and hiking. We stopped at a number of places on Sandbars to have picnic, kids enjoyed playing in the water and we socialized with fellow rafters.
