Society is pushing the bear to the corner calling it names, telling him he is the enemy, not needed, not liked, not useful, forced to not be better than others, can't have bear spaces and then expect the bear to not lash out and burn the whole village down to feel it's warmth.

nothing... still, at the moment. but soon i expect society to unravel and when money stops flowing, masks start falling. it will be only then that a reset of values will be possible.
till then, find a good life setup, make money, convert into various assets, learn skills, make your circle of homies, and prepare for impact.

We used to have an economy where an average guy could go to high school, get a job or good apprenticeship right after graduation, and be ready to buy a house and become the primary breadwinner by 23 to 25. This made for radically different dating dynamics. People in high school or right out of high school took relationships seriously because they knew they would be ready to start hitting those traditional “ milestones” within a few short years. After the 1990 recession our politicians and the ultra affluent offshored most of the solid middle class jobs and left the American people
with crappy service jobs that paid 1/2 as much and had no benefits.

Life is hard enough but I was willing to work to achieve. My issue is that opiates killed my whole family and left me with a disabled and depraved father who needs 24/7 care we can't afford. Which means, you guessed it, taking care of him and having no life; being broke and having no space to bring anyone over or have personal time. Something a lot bigger going on here than just "you didn't try hard enough." For reference my dad used to be someone who could easily make six figures in a few months. Prescription drugs flooded my family from all sides and suddenly he's like a 9-year-old who plays foul dirty pranks and is abusive despite depending on us. It is insanity. I stopped going to therapy because there is nothing wrong with me and talking about it doesn't change the circumstances. I shine whenever he's not around. God help me. All the money I saved up got spent buying my family a car. Instead of having my own kids I'm taking care of my dad. Sigh.

Having lived through it, you'd be hard pressed to convince me that the entire thing wasn't a psyop intended to result in the destruction of our society. I'm not placing blame on men or women -- we only know what we're taught. It's my observation that young men AND young women on the whole are pretty unhappy, despite the masks they wear or what they present on their socials. The reason you can't own land anymore and the prices are skyrocketing for even basic housing is because people at the top realized that EVERYONE needs a place to live, and that if they just start buying up loads of houses and create a shortage of houses, they can then dictate the price of rent. This will then drive up the price of rent since the supply of houses is WAY lower than the amount of people looking to buy a house. So they are forced to rent, and the cost of rent is beyond insane. True. I owned land in a rural area and the county engineer was such a pain in the ass that I donated the land to a Catholic homeless shelter in the nearest larger town, or Alamosa, Colorado. When I bought the land I was only required to install a 400 gallon pump out tank underneath a gravity drop outhouse. Then they changed that to requiring a regular septic system for 2 bedroom house capacity. Then also they wanted the place electrified even though it’s on a dirt road next to a giant cattle ranch. No thanks. I’d rather find an island in Alaska where nobody gives a shit what you do.

With property, well, if you don't pay your yearly ransom, the state will steal it from you and will get away with it. It's indistinguishable from the mafia's extortion tactics. Sadly, property ownership is all but a myth in our world.

Thank you for this video, you really hit the nail on the head!
About the 'Landownership vs. Fantasy' part, really hit home...
Young people can't start families here because housing prices are going trough the roof and beyond. An avarage home here in The Netherlands cost €433000,- / $462000,-, and the highest rent prices of Europe.
Which is unaffordable for the youth!
25 y/o man here from the Netherlands. Single. Still living with my parants. Taking care of my family and working full time. Now playing with my music group twice a week. Making long walks in nature every day, does wonders.
I have a few people around who TRULY care about me, and I care a LOT about them. But as of the day of today: Making truly deep new connections is like finding a nail in a haystack.
Mainly as from a social point of view,
people are way too serious about themselves and their (unrealistic) standards. It is killing themselves. Because no one can meet those standards even the one who sets the standards (consciously and unconsciously).
If we realise to start beign 'sincere' instead of beign 'serious', a lot of change can happen.
When we can look at people for who they are, instead of who whe wish them to be... Imagine...
There are enough Men for Women and enough Women for Men. Even with autism spectrum, I too find it difficult to make new meaningfull connections, not as diffucult as it was in the past. But I'm not giving up!
This is just my perspective, feel free to criticise...

As long as you conquer your goals in life no matter how small they are and have other hobbies as well, then you can enjoy video games fully. They are meant to make your life a little more fun and drive you to move forward, not destroy you. It is you who can be your worst enemy, not video games.

But mostly people just seem to be home. Looking at the census data there should be younger people living in the area but we rarely see them at all. We went camping a few months ago and there barely any kids or young adults, mostly just elderly boomers.

The zeitgeist will shift. I think it is about to happen, in the same way it happened for a short while back in the 60's. Out of pressure and trauma, more people are forced to start thinking, and become receptive.

It's true and you also see the concept of the frontier in digital spaces. When that exploded so many men went into programming and computers, breaking boundaries with technologies. Now we are again in the middle of another crises where many highly paid tech workers suddenly can't find jobs. Once again quite rapidly the frontier space is flooded and industrialized, the positive gains men made from their explorations are taken away.
Not to get in a fight in the comment section but I don't agree with a lot of the comments saying "It's not worth it" and "Feminism ruined society." Feminism is like AI or mobile phones or voting rights or 2-person marriage or anything else "Pandora's Box" our society developed and normalized. It's not going "back in the box." We moved forward this way and that's it, there's little point complaining. Women are in the workplace now (for better or worse) and that means men likewise are expected to develop their "anima" or feminine side through emotional self-realization and development. But while society acknowledged women's need for help growing into traditionally male spaces (workplace) we've had almost no advancement helping men develop except for a sort of half-nod from feminism about men's struggles with showing emotions. That's why content like yours that acknowledges men's struggles but focuses on their self development positively is so important. There's a deep need for this.
Just from a practical perspective I heard these complaints from men about feminism but there are solutions: 1) You can engage yourself in more traditional spaces like church. You are more likely to find traditional women here. However, because our society is basically areligious a lot of men don't want to do this. This route also isn't a shortcut out of personal development. These spaces expect men to have high character. 2) Expand your idea of what a relationship "should" look like ... cast off the idea that you HAVE to be the financial provider in the relationship and seek to provide in other ways.
Me and my friends LOVE to meet hunky, emotionally available guys ... but we often end up in relationships where the guys feel guilt about not being as successful as we are, and say things like "I can't provide for you." Women aren't blind to men's struggles, we see that it's unusually hard for you to get jobs and "launch", we aren't blind to what's going on in society. But we're not going to quit our high paying careers or give up our dreams so we can be your housewife, when you don't make as much money or when both of us have to work. I'd ALWAYS pick a guy who cares about me, caters to me, and helps me achieve my goals over a guy who makes more money than me ... and if he works out too ... hubba hubba. I'd love a "trophy husband" LOL
Oh another dynamic: In immigrant families I often see this situation, husband has a business and does everything to run it but the wife is the owner on paper. This is so the business can get the women-centered tax breaks and other benefits of having that "women owned" status. But how many Western guys, with these kinds of negative views toward women, would be OK signing over his entire business to his wife?? I'm not saying you guys should do that but you can see how the mindset and approach to women+family is so, so different. For a good relationship, men and women need to see each other as partners. These immigrant businesses see the game that's playing out in society "women get stuff, men don't" but they know men are the ones doing the work, so they beat the game through their partnership.
This isn't to say women don't have issues relating to men ... just wanted to provide a counterpoint to some of the negativity I see here. Growing and expanding is always a better option than shirk and blame!

    • @Nickel_Coin
      @Nickel_Coin 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

The issue I have as a "hunky" emotionally available tall shredded guy in his mid 20s (none of those traits seem to matter as much as money except for casual sex which I don't want) finishing their degree is that I don't believe that there are more than a handful of women who genuinely aren't going to refuse to be with me due to not having it finished yet and not having a related job from it that pays well. I never wanted a housewife and I do not have unrealistic expectations. I want someone who lives the same fitness-based life as me who has put a lot of work into themself psychologically like I have. I also don't want kids or someone who lives ideologically hypocritically or intellectually dishonestly (aka I want someone who isn't immature).
The women that check those boxes off in the early-mid 20s dating pool are so few that the only ones meeting the criteria are already out of the market, leaving only the women that don't care about guys in my situation because they don't care about men's struggles. It really does appear to us from our perspective via women's behavior regardless of what women are telling us that the women who won't only love us for our money/job are either nonexistent or negligibly small. I understand there are a lot of women that say this on the internet, but it does not seem to reflect real life for us as a collective which has lead a lot of us to the conclusion that giving up is our best option.
I want to believe what you are saying is representative of most women out there, but it just isn't lining up with my experience with reality or the experiences of my friends, family members, and other men in my community who are all struggling with the same exact things. I don't even know what to believe anymore.

Agree with all these points. I’m so tired of the blame game in these comments; I understand dating and rejection is brutal out there, but blaming the entire other gender for your issues is just perpetuating the faction between hetero men and women these days. We all want to be loved at the end of the day. That starts with loving ourselves first, and then building a community where we actually support and care about each other.

Indirectly related, but as a guy in my thirties dealing with long-term unemployment and social isolation, I've been recently wondering why all adult socializing has to be done around activities that are otherwise self-destructive. I mean, I don't have the budget to go out drinking or partying every week. But even if I did, those aren't the sorts of thing I would _want_ to be doing with others. ...Wait, did you just say I spend a lot of time playing video games in order to cultivate my will to power because there's no avenues available to do it in reality? Well, judging by the specific ways in which play games, that's... exactly what it's all about, I'd think.
