I got the temporary banish wrong it seems but I hope you enjoyed the rest! Eva sent me the handtrap guide for Memento if you were interested! Ash the Tatsu or the Fusion, whichever you see first. Imperm is awkward because of Bone Party/Fusion but generally, use it on Angwitch because, if they get another name, you might have just made Fusion live. Ogre on the Field spell, Belle on Mementotlan Fusion, Bystial on Angwitch summon back Mace.
I was waiting for this video, from this channel. Thanks for the content!
Thank you for these videos! Every time I fall out and return these videos are essential for me to understand choke points/high impact cards.
I got cooked by Centur-ION at my regional last Saturday, as it was my first time playing against them. I appreciate the knowledge on that matchup
best video every format i swear.. when i get my first top imma shout you out on the low xD
When a monster 'temporarily' leaves the field and comes back the turn it was summoned, the monster will remember it was special summoned. So if the monster that was special summoned is temporarily banished by Etoile, it will remember it was special summoned that turn. That is how that goes
That’s just not right
it even remembers that it was fusion summoned after the temporary banish
@@ntgxxsorrows4844yes it is
Thats true when it comes back it will still have that effect active
Also, it will remember it is fusion summoned and special summoned but not remember which card or effect initiated the summon.
Was looking for a video like this thank you was super helpful.
I appreciate the drop big man
this was perfect! thanks man
I’m actually more of a board breaking kind of guy. But I still appreciate these videos. Currently I’m playing my hand traps in the side deck.
Anyway, you can go first 😉
@@audistant4011 my board breaks are all quick play spells, so I’m still good.
How do u play around king calamity or gimmick puppet lock
And when going second against a raidraptor who is unaffected ? Superpoly, Droplet, talent, nothing works there.
@@Alex-td2zv who said they are gonna get their. Handtraps are nice
My boy coming thru with that GASS
Thanks!
Thsnks
nice
Not me crash coursing before a big event
Thank you so much for this!! Are you going to main deck Ghost Ogre then?
Imo you can also ogre the melodious link 2 cuz it has to summon to zones it is pointing to
Missing Ghost Belle vs Ostinato :) and yeah that works
Not ggygo giving the silver bullets to the public . My edge of people not know what to hit is gone lol
Negative the Spirit of yubel is kinda risky since a lot of Decks play 4 imperm dodges so could suck eventually
You can also belle ostinato or the level 7 tenpai synchro
Hard to choose between Crow and belle right now imo
Where do you crow into Melodious?
Woah. I could have sworn the ruling was monsters remember that they were summoned but not how.
Ex. A monster Tribute summoned and affected by Monarchs erupt that is banished by Farfa would come back at the end phase with Monarchs erupt still being active.
Ex. Flowering Etolie would banish and return knowing it was special summoned but does not remember that it was fusion summoned by Concerto.
This would also mean that when Psy-Frame Lord Omega Banishes itself it comes back no longer special summoned.
It was ruled that way at the event I was at.
Okay so as always refer back to the head judge
@@GG_YGOthats fair, but i'm pretty sure that ruling is incorrect
Edit: the correct ruling is that temporarily banished monsters remember how they were summoned
@@alwayskindasleepy69 What you are saying is how it is ruled around my area as well.
Nice video, part 2 with Mementotlan, Salad, and maybe some others?
Please do not do that. Leave these decks alone, people shall figure out themselves how to beat my decks 😂
But tbh with you. Imperm all normals that dont trigger on summon right away and ash boneparty. Thats it. If they start witch, and you only have 1 handtrap wait for twin dragon and try to imperm that otherwise ash the st searches. You just need to know that they can sometimes even play through 3 handtraps depending on the hand.
@@ennesb.4053 forreal lol
You also want to ash, ash effect to send to special
I figured you'd Ogre Throne.
What about White woods and memento?
Soo it looks like ghist ogre is good now? Even not against top meta?
I'm a little bit new to yugioh competitive dueling, around a month or so, I know someone who likes to spam calamity at my locals, which i have i tough time dealing with, how would mourner make calamity miss timing?
Calamity is a when eff. It has to be able to activate in a very specific window. If can happen anywhere in a chain whereas a when eff has to happen immediately when it's trying to activate.
im struggling vs raidraptors and galaxy eyes recently with their new support its so slept on and so broken imo does anyone know good counterplay vs those two ?
How does the crow on diviner work? Is it one of those "not in correct location to activate effect on resolution" things?
Yes
@@GG_YGO thank you!
sorry I'm a bit nooby, does it work the same way with bystials? I vaguely remember seeing something how crow/bystial interact differently with lab and I was wondering if that's the same thing?
Isn't ash on bacha typically better than ostinato? Since ostinato isn't a once per turn and doesn't lock they can just activate another one.
While you control this Fusion Summoned card, the activated effects of your "Melodious" Fusion Monsters cannot be negated.
so ghost ogre is good rn? is it a main deck card or side only?
It's probably like 4th-6th best hand trap right now, so it depends on how many you play. In my opinion, it's around the same amount of playability as Nib and Mourner. Also just kinda depends on the meta in your area, though.
do you think retaliating c has enough utility this format to side or is it only useful against melodious.
Only that instance for now
@@GG_YGO thanks, I was considering it since it's a level 4 for exosister.
Where do i have to handtrap against Memento ?
whats Witz nib/ogre ? where to nib melodius or is it even good?
Any tips for stopping the gimmick puppet lock? Like. Can you imperm or ash a specific card to stop it?
Droplet sanctifire
@@GG_YGO under Branded Lost it you might not get the chance to respond to it, by getting a fusion on cl1 and chaining all of it to the fusion summon.
The ideal will always be to try and stop them before.
@@wayforglory945 you have first action in the draw phase wdym
@@GG_YGO How do you droplet something that isn't there yet? Isn't the new Branded line making the lock on your opponent turn with the second granguignol? Under lost you can't stop the Sanctifire, you have to stop anything leading to that before they get protected by lost. (This is mainly if they hold onto the Droplet, by the time Sanctifire is down you can't stop the lock, as you can't respond to a new chain directly following a fusion summon)
You droplet it after the branded player pass turn over to you.
Me being a branded player that never plays hand traps tehe.
Why is the ruling if you crow diviner that he cant special summon lo from deck? For this effect isnt it just the thing that u have to tribute ?
If a card goes to a new location it'll miss it's window to activate
@@GG_YGO oh ok i didnt knew this. If snake eyes ash activate hie effect to special from deck and i chain crow, then this would be also the case ?
@ChristosEglezos-nr9js no because that's the activated eff at the time. Diviner has 2. One that would trigger would the tribute happens. Since it is moved from where it's tributed from the effect when tributed won't activate.
Personally, between Diviner and Saffira irt Crow, I definitely prioritize Saffira if they lead Saffira. If they lead Diviner I go ahead and Crow it, but it feels bad because I am going to miss that Crow a lot when they activate Saffira. But NS Diviner is just way too much advantage off a single card that I'm forced to respect it
Am I missing something? What happens if you crow diviner?
@@A-G-B You Crow Diviner on the activation of Trias Hierarchia in GY. That takes her out of the GY during resolution of Trias, which gives her no opportunity to activate and SS the Lo
Diviner just has to be tributed, it doesn't matter where she ends. So she should still be able to summon Lo, unless I'm missing something
@@stevegreer8097 that’s what I was thinking it doesn’t state that she needs to be in the graveyard, unless of some ruling that I’m not aware of
@@A-G-B She needs to be in the GY to activate. Once you Crow her, the banished Diviner is not the same Diviner as the one that was sent to the GY. There's ten million cards with the same ruling. Same reason Crowing Barong works
What about Droll? Not good this format?
Very mid
This format is in such a weird spot . I do not love hand traps overall right now. Breakers feel so much stronger. Unfortunately with more centurion/purrely, along with with branded still being able to puppet lock plus the omega hand rip. Trying to prevent a board rather then breaking it is needed. Ash for the first time in awhile feels like the most impactful hand trap.
Ty for not covering Salad 😉
Everyone knows Nib kills
@@f.b.iagent3971the rock is just part of the salad endboard
Everyone saying Nib kills hasn‘t played Salad for a year
@@Nicboi123 precisely 😁

Where do you ogre tenpai if they go battlephase without activating the fieldspell?
Branded 😢
