I just tried to do this trick last night after watching a video calling it an intermediate trick. Seeing you categorize it as advanced makes me feel a bit better about struggling with it.
Idk if this will help anybody but when you're going to catch it to finish it off you should extend your thumb out further. The handle kept bouncing off the tip of my thumb, and extending it helps the knife get cradled in better to finish the catch.

i dont really get the last part where the handle and the blade seperate when u push with ur middle finger, ive been doing it for hours and not once have i gotten the blade and the handle to seperate
is the shortstop the whole combo or is it just the part after half orbit im in a debate on the theory of application i say its the ending they say its the whole thing im thinking you can shortstop out of a ladder still they dont consider that a shortstop because they learned it from a half orbit as you demonstrate

if it is on the pivots make sure you are squeezing the handles together so the pivots dont spin. otherwise make sure you have the correct screwdriver size/ type. good luck!
I dont understand this channel sometimes. You say to catch it with your thumb, then you say dont catch it with your thumb, catch it with your middle finger and thumb. it could be done. another thing that is easier is you can just put masking tape over the blade!

Locktight is to make sure that the screws don’t come out. You should loctite all your new knifes
