This sounds really nice, well done. I especially liked the addition of the background static becoming just a slight bit more noticeable at the end of the song as it perfectly replicated the sense of giving up I felt when first listening to LTDG. Amazing work as always.
For a long time I thought the note at 0:23 was a half step higher than the one at 0:18...something about the harmony change makes the repeated melody feel so different the second time.
Harmonic context shapes your view of each note. In a way, the harmonic relationship between notes IS what you're hearing (more so than the notes themselves). That's a Vincent take tho...
I know why I've waited, know why I've been blue Crave each night for someone exactly like you Why should we spend money on a show or two? No one does those love scenes exactly like you You make me feel so grand, I want to give the world to you You seem to understand each foolish little scheme I'm scheming, dream I'm dreaming Now I know why mother taught me to be true She meant me for someone еxactly like you
This should be a love song. A song of devotion towards the figure of the beloved. But music is like mathematics and gastronomy: if you slightly alter the original recipe, you will have a distorted version of the original piece. A sweeter or saltier dish, a complex or real value, a happy or melancholic melody. A melancholic melody that recalls the corrosive and destructive effect of diseases such as Alzheimer's, a melody that all of us who have the "joy" of living into old age are forced to hear one last time. Familiar, but distant; I die of thirst surrounded by water and I forget surrounded by what produced those memories.
new addition!!! question: is the fact that the music is played a half-step (semitone) higher than the piano tutorial on-screen intentional? ex: Bb key is pressed while a B note is played. not meant to be a nitpick, just curious. :}
Curiosity and questioning often leads to growth in k n o w l e d g e . Anyways-- The piano's been tuned to A = 450. What you'd hear is in-between Bb and B (though it's a lot closer to Bb). While it may not be perfect, it's supposed to be more closely tuned to the EateoT version of the song.

Good job as always, are you going to upload this and E7 MIDI?
Yes
Well, I'll upload the midi to Discord
Sounds nice, I think you’re missing some notes on some gaps. I might recommend a remaster.
Why does 1:11 remind me of Libet's Delay
