Dude this is a great video! Thank you so much for posting a thorough vid of the process. I’ve watched it about 4 times now and I’m going to install them tomorrow. Super nervous lol. Did you make adjustments of angle after you installed them?
Thanks dude!! The hardest part is removing and re-installing the bumper. Just be super careful with this part to avoid damage. I like the angle of them so I didn’t need to make any adjustments post install.
Dang good to know the lights work on another car! And man that car is quiet on the inside I heard hardly any road noise. The demo was detailed as heck too I wondered what other people would see coming from my fog lights 😅
Great video you do a good job explaining it step by step. I have the SS3 Max on my OBW and love them especially in the snow. The only thing that sucks is that it's hard to aim them down. I can't aim it down any further. The height is legally set and pass inspection but I want it a little bit lower.
Follow up question; I got these but I think the shop installed them upside down- can you foresee this being a performance issue? (The “D” logo is facing the other direction) Thank you
That was the only filter available at the time. The blue filters were the emergency filters Subaru had to issue as a result of the shortage. The black filters should be available now. I switched over to them. th-cam.com/video/2X7LJXx1Dk0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cfOLfkbPQkLArYS5
I just checked and it looks like the access from the bottom is blocked off. You might be able to do it via the wheel fender liner but it’s probably too far forward. Definitely aim them to your preference before buttoning everything up. Hope this helps.
Have you aimed it down a tad bit lower since then or kept it the same? When driving and leaving it on, did you experienced getting flash by other drivers?
Nope, I just kept it the same. I got flashed only once. I try to be mindful when having them on, like if someone is in front of me at a stop light then I usually turn them off.
Good question! They only fit the Wilderness models (per their website). If you have a previous gen Outback, you might want to look into this one www.diodedynamics.com/ss3-led-fog-light-kit-for-2013-2019-subaru-outback.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw8symBhAqEiwAaTA__NDnA72wRMV_EDeX9gjzcwP5mEdOGQsbYaJfINRQeUJQSnnFmRHbvxoCJ0MQAvD_BwE

My brother use the SS3 on his tundra, outback and crosstrek as well. Great fitment and nice beams. Love them!
They are pretty awesome!

It’s very quiet compared to the WRX! So comfortable to drive man! Hoping I don’t blind people 😂
Have them on my Crosstrek Sport. Absolutely love them!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Thank you! They definitely help with visibility. Yeah, I tried to see if they could be angled down a bit but they seem to be fixed in place.
Hey how are the SS3 Max in snow with regard to ice build up. Is there enough heat to melt the snow / ice ?
@@benson098123 it's fine it runs hot so it will melt it no problem. Had it almost 2 years and no issues.
@@dhm486 thanks
Nice! I have the SS3 Max and love them!
💡 ⚡️ oh man, I’m sure the Max version is amazing!
Great tutorial!! Just ordered some SS3 pro for th OBW!
Thank you! 🙏
just ordered the ss3 pro white (maybe going to do half yellow. bottom led yellpw and top white. Did you have problem with other people flashing you ?
I was looking at buying a intercooler guard like yours. How's it holding up any pros or cons?
Oh it’s solid. I love this thing. No issues whatsoever. th-cam.com/video/debHqLS2NkE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3mG1_gkfrQ7Ur2hb
Great vid! Do these have the amber backlight? Thanks
Thanks! Nope, these ones don’t have the backlighting.
@@ronfromportlandthanks again!

@@marcusv4364 I highly doubt it would impact performance in anyway but the upside down logo would bother the crap out of me 😂😂
@@ronfromportlandI am currently in this stage of grief 😂
Great video my guy!
Thanks bro!
Question? Did you remove the wheel spacers?
Yes, only because I used them on the WRX for a little bit. Now that the WRX is gone, I will re-install them on the Outback.
ARE YOU USING A BLUE N/A OIL FILTER ON A FA24F/DIT ? THOUGHT WE WERE ONLY SUPPOSED TO THE BLACK TOKYO RIOKI FILTERS ?

Are they a challenge to aim once the car is all buttoned back up? Pros on the way for my OBW.

Great instruction vid.
Thank you!
Did you adjust/aim these at all? Seems like a pain with the bumper removal.
@@jehsd1234 nope, I basically just made sure they were even when I test fitted and left them as-is.
@@ronfromportland Good to know. Just bought my all black 2024 OBW and your channel was a big inspiration.
@@jehsd1234hey man I really appreciate that, thank you! Enjoy your new OBW!
Do these fit the non-wilderness models?
Hope this is not a bad question.

Will the sports melt snow and ice on the lens?
No, they don’t get hot which is what you want in lights
@@ronfromportland
Depends what your using them for. In a a Canadian blizzard enough heat to melt the snow is a good thing 🙂
@@benson098123that is awesome haha

Couldn’t you just have dropped the skid plate to gain access to the fog light ?
The bottom plastic piece limits access to the bolts. Removing the bumper is the easiest way to swap out the fogs
