it is funny, because being with girls is an awkward situation for them since korean men don't get so close to women even if they are friends, you can see this even in any award shows, male groups do not interact with girl groups (on stage). geez dayday they do interact but not as much here; it is just some delusional people end up shipping them as dating while others are jealous possessive girls who end up getting really hostile online harassing and Some male idols said they did not want any girls getting hate cause they have been many instances of how dating rumors end up stressful for idols usually more towards the females so everyone ends up being very secretive about their dating life (just recently they have been confirmed of two dating by the idols who said they were together for two years; they got tired keeping it secret/hard and it up being a whole mess) so bts in interviews in America you see get very nervous of such questions and try to dodge them a lot They are very careful how much they interact on award shows since it is broadcasted live and cannot be edited but outside the live cameras when they think they are in the clear you see they are a little bit more casual with them (A couple of months ago Jin did not know some idol girl group was doing a vlive and a younger female end up responding really casually to him when they were talking at the door (Koreans have honorific speech’s &casual) and people started hating on them for little things like that and started making up none sense just from that; plus Suga worked with another female idol in producing a song for her that he won an award for & when she talked about thanking him and helping her with personal issues some fans hated on her because how close they seemed and thought something else was going on) So many times bts are just concerned for the female artists and try to limit how much they interact on live broadcast however it does not always work because people be snooping. Another former idol said the companies usually want to give the impression their idols are single and ask idols to be discreet (some have contracts signed; some just for show some for real) but he say a lot goes on behind the scenes and everyone is very casual with each other when they are away from cameras but some they do not notice and ends up being a problem. Note not every fan is obsessed with shipping two Idol together or the other extreme where they hate on them ; it is just a few but they are very vocal and aggressive so they end up being the most noticeable & been the source of major stress in many idols recently.
