I like the chap and from a local entertainment industry perspective, he's done a lot. He must get his flowers here.
However, when it comes to governance, future planning and the capacity / breadth to carry the weight of our country's issues, he is nowhere close to what we need.
You can't make excuses that the US has had 200 yrs, so they must be ahead. Singapore and the ME has demystified this nonsense, these younger democracies have successfully managed to evolve without the 150+ yrs.
We need experts in these offices, not entertainers.

We need to stop using the 60 years of independence as an excuse for bad governance. UAE was formed 52 years ago. Its younger than kenya, but they are ages ahead of kenya in terms of development. Just compare Dubai and Nairobi.
