I doubt it will ever fail, but if it does, don't throw it. All those lights have warranty, you just send it in. I collect flashlights and I have amassed 13 streamlights over the years including an old incandescent one from the early 2000's that still works. The rubber button covers are the most common fail point (after years) and you can send it in for that or just buy the replacement kit. they are made to be serviced.
I got my dads old one from when he was in the coast guard In The 90s with a new battery it still works, one of the great things is that it’s fully sealed and can be used in an environment with dangerous gases
i use stream light exclusively when i’m working on cars and i have put both of mine through the ringer and they still keep going. not only are they tough but stream lights warranty is amazing.
I still have my streamlight stinger that I got when I first started in law enforcement. It’s still going strong over 20 years later. Of course I’ve had to replace the battery a few times. But not as often as you’d think.
Sounds like you’re having fun with your new toy. I remember when MagLights came out. I was like you and thought they were crazy expensive and who would spend that much!! But after going through handfuls of junk, I still have some that work 30 years later.
I love mine lol. I'm not going to say go drop it but I've dropped mine multiple times and still keeps working. Best feature I like is if I'm stuck in a tank I and the battery dies I just got to keep pushing the button ever few sec. Till I find the exit😂😂
Police flash light. That's why....at horrific scenes, invisible entities drain the battery, but that's why you carry a spare to keep going....experience......
To be honest, I had one a few years ago, because it seems all American law enforcement use them? And if you think they are expensive in the USA you should try buying one here in the UK? Well I was into torches/ Flashlight s so I as said got one and it was basically s*** ! OK I may have been unlucky but after the mission of sending it back to the seller I got a replacement about two months later and after about six months that one failed so I won't be getting any more Streamlight products! I do have SL20x and that's been good but that's old school halogen. I do hope you get good service from yours!
Dang that sucks man. I’ve used Streamlight products for over 20 years and they all still work. You’re correct, most law enforcement, fire, ems use these.
It is a great light and widely used and proved to be reliable. But I can see one issue of it in your video, it flickers on lower output mode, which means they use PWM circuits, which is a cheaper, lower end solution. Some people does not care or does not even notice, but that was quite obvious and annoying to me, personally. Other highend brands, such as Surefire, Fenix, does not do that, they use better constant current system to achieve different brightness. Streamlight is not a cheap brand, I think should use better ones, especially for that price.

Cool! Thanks!
Where do you send it in too and do ypu need to original box? I think I might have thrown one away🤦♂️
Just like a Swiss army knife, you can send them in for a refurbish. Usually costs $10-20 shipping.

@@chillywills1904 dont need a box or warranty card.. just send it in.

STREAMLIGHTs warrantee is amazing I have sent in absolutely the most beet up broken lights. If they can’t fix it they will send you a new one.
Cool, good to know. Thanks!
We have multiples of these on our fire trucks for times we don’t need a lantern. We beat the crap out of these things and they just keep going

There an extra light bulb in the battery compartment
Cool, thanks! I don’t think I knew that.

Is it heavy enough to smack a bad guy over the head with?
Maybe…? If there’s nothing better near by, it may work. If you hit hard enough…
