That turned out really good! The only criticism I have is that I didn't get to see it on Thure's beautiful boi hair. Sad Clint is sad. I really want to do this to mine now too! Especially the wireless mod!
Love the video Great Job I like what you did with the Jacks as well. Thanks for taking them apart and showing us the inside I always wondered what they looked like on the inside. I just got a pair of these (sr-80e) I love them I only wish they were over the ear cans. Have you ever tried to make them over the ears kind of headphones? I was thinking about trying to come up with something like that my self but, that will be further down the road for me when they really get used.. I guess it takes a while to break them in? but to me they sound great. Anyway Nice work.
Thanks! At the end of the video I show the large earpads in the final shots, they pretty much turn grados into over the ear types. If you search for "Grado G cushion" you should be able to find some. I got a $10 set on ebay and im really happy with them.
That is awesome. Too many times we just want to throw away something old and buy something new. This video has definitely inspired me to do something with the stuff I already have. Thank you!
Super good looking! Don’t think I wouldn’t notice those precision 1-2-3 blocks that were in there for a split second! :P I’m curious why you have 123 blocks, but I’m sure they come in handy for more than just machining, like I use them for. Very precise blocks
That came out great! I dig the use of the prototyping board as the replacement screen totally completes the look IMO.
Yea it super weirdly worked way better this way. Kinda glad the screen melted
Love the mod. The headphones have so much more personality now.
Thank you
Love the circuit board screen dude
Def a rush job but turned out amazing
Ha! The exact same thing happened to the plastic screen on my Grados when I last took them apart! Great video!

Hahhaha that's on him. He did this whole video on his own. Lol I'll pass along the note hahahaha
I too was sad about the lack of hair
That bronze look makes them look really good, they look like an antique
That was the goal and hope
You forgot to add the retro cat ears to complete the look
So true. I'll get right on that
Great looking pair.
the headband looks a lot like the one on the pioneer se-L40, which i love the whole design of
Glad to see Thure is back at it again 👍🏾
I always say, he's around doing something. Usually behind the scenes but this time front and center

Its got a nice retro vibe, very funky man B)
Just wait till I finish the ones I'm designing from scratch lol
Nice work! It gave me some good ideas for my old pair of beats that are getting worn down!
Excited to see if you do something with them!
I have these same headphones. Might have to give it a shot. I’m also really interested in the removable cable mod!
It's a game changer. It's so nice to be able to disconnect the cables when necessary
@@WhenGeeksCraft Yeah - I especially get annoyed with the plastic y-piece. The cable ends above it always get twisted in a weird way.
I really like the new look! How's the sound? Any change?
Not too much different but they fit and feel better. Cousion on the top is much more comfortable and the ear pads fit much nicer
That is awesome. Too many times we just want to throw away something old and buy something new. This video has definitely inspired me to do something with the stuff I already have. Thank you!
I'm glad I could be of any inspiration for you!
Nice one Thure!
Thanks!
Hope Grado don't see this video and copy your style of design and charge even more for it. It looks more premium than the original. Kudos on your mod.

We have them because they are great for holding things down and they are insanely straight/accurate.
Nice work 🍻
Nice work! Will these cups work on the SR125e?
im not sure. you will need to do some measurements to confirm
I was really confused for a hot second when I saw my name on the screen. I’m a Patreon 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Hahahahahah!!!! Amazing
nice mod! how thick is the leather for the headband?
i think its 5 oz? its like 1/8th inch thick
Hey how much did the new ear cups change the weight of the headphone? Also 8 monthes out is it still alive?
Still alive and not too much weight change. They were almost identical in weight. I still use these head phones in my rotation.
But how do they sound?
Nice done i use pieces from poland
I celebrate this
Thank you 😊
Wow
