Nice tutorial! I think I may try this but also add a very fine wire around the wings so they can be bent into to various ways. Even though I don't have any dissolvable craft paper; I may try it with regular paper and carefully peel it off. Needless to say, I have been inspired to experiment! :) thank you!

Hi! I’m pretty late to this video but I was just thinking about making my own realistic butterflies (I was gonna paint the wings but needle felt the body.) I like how you wrapped small strings of wool on the legs to make them appear more life like, but I have to ask. Do you use anything to secure the wool on the legs at all? Or do you just wrap them on the legs. I feel like the wool would unwind itself from the leg quickly after.

World of Wool has it. I’ve been able to make bees and butterflies with it, it’s great. It’s more like a dryer sheet texture than paper but it works a treat. 💕
