Gött :P Same old Väsen as always :) Twisting the tunes more than the most :P I played with them in the Folkmusic Festival of Linköping, my hometown. Looking forward to hear them again :))
Actually it is Söderbloms Polska -it is on Vasen's album " Linnaeus Vasen" . What an underestimated talent this band are -all superb musicians. Cheers from Sydenham Nigel
These guys continue to be highly entertaining, year after year. 25th Anniversary concert for them this coming October. Saw them last night, always a great show.
Emlovina It is true that the nyckelharpa is nowadays played in several countries. The chromatic nyckelharpa (enabling tunes in all keys), the type that Johansson is playing, was constructed in the early 30's by August Bohlin, a crofter and musician from Uppland. Earlier version of the instrument exists but are limited to certain keys.

I'm sure plenty of people have - at dance events, perhaps... The guys have taken dance music and made it interesting and entertaining for the concert audience. Two different ways of enjoying music!

I saw them live in Villavicencio Colombia and that gig was one of my favoritenights rhis year
I love it!
Nå hohhoh, vad skickligt spelat! Jag önskar att jag också skulle kunna spela så där lätt och fint. Fingrarna bara flyger över strängarna.
The guy in the lower right is too calm for me, how could you not be dancing seeing this live or listening to it at all!

It's not Söderbloms Polska but Slängpolska efter Byss-Calle. The two are remarkably similar though.
Så jävla bra
Amazing.

Deirdre, This is probably the Swedish equivalent of Morrison's etc. in terms of popularity!
Fred
Slängpolska. The name is up there in the title of the video. :)
Some Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds included!
No, that tune is actually from the Middle Ages. John stole it.
It's a nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish instrument.
Swedens national instrument actually...
Slängpolska efter Byss-Calle
Svårt att vara sur när man hör det här ;-)
Han i bakgrunden lyckas ganska bra med det.
@@urbankotto9685😂😂😂
Damned clapping.
Good, you saved me the trouble of commenting. Oh, wait...
I like the Lucy in the Sky quote
That tune is from the Middle Ages. John Lennon plagiarized it.
What is the name of the song?
Slängpolska efter Byss-Calle. The first part anyway. Don't know what the second part is.
So we now need to have some Viking invaders play on Paddy's Day...Oh Well...They are pretty great!
I bet you have some vikingblood running in your wains. If you`r from Irland.
😂😂😂
That is correct :)
What's the name of the instrument the guy in the middle is playing?
It is called nyckelharpa, a swedish instrument
+kolsyrade You got it right except for the "mainly in Sweden" part. It is used quite commonly amongs the Finnish folk music fiddlers as well. :)

Hi. Yes, it is Swedish. The Polska is a traditional Swedish music form, in 3/4 time. Maybe this can help: www.norbeck.nu/swedtrad/
I think the polska format stems from Poland, hence the name of this kind of tune.
This is a concert, totally impossible for dancing! Would be nice if someone made it dancivle!
I'm sure plenty of people have - at dance events, perhaps... The guys have taken dance music and made it interesting and entertaining for the concert audience. Two different ways of enjoying music!
Oh no, it's not impossible to dance to. Just improvice! ;)
Tyvärr, den går inte att lansa till!
