    I really enjoyed this. That is one expensive bubble tea.
    My favourite tea is iron Buddha. It tastes lighter than the others.

    Wouldn't really say plum valley is the most 正宗 when it comes to 點心. It's more of the new school type of 點心 you would find in HK. But each to their own I guess?

    Tip: Look at the lens rather than the LCD screen when filming. It would look so much better for you to be addressing the audience directly rather than looking off to the side. Other than that, enjoying all the interesting content.

    You look more English than Chinese hence why the waiters didn't offer you Chinese tea. Chinese restaurants in the UK do offer different types of Chinese tea indeed. Also those Chinese buffets are catered for the English.

    So weird that they don't ask you for tea at dim sum! Here even in the Netherlands they do that and I kinda think that's what makes dim sum, dim sum you know😂 can't have it without some hot tea!

      @@MeganJacques I've never been to Plum Valley, but they certainly assume and ask which tea you'd like with all the other restaurants such as Lido, Dumpling Inn and Wan Chai

      I think the servers will see/read the people going for dim sum. If Chinese and Asian looking, they will ask what kind of tea in most times. If others (white, black, brown....), chance they not drink teas (coffees but not tea). So, those servers offered juices, pops, or coffees!

    I recall of vacationing in HK in 2018 and boba was HK$40. HK is expensive to me comparing to the Bay Area. Average salaries here is higher than HK but I still feel price pressure when visiting HK.

      Hong Kong is definitely an expensive city! Although I find that for certain things you are able to find cheap/affordable options depending on where you are ☺️

      Bay Area? SF Bay area? If so, exchange should be back to $5+/- USD..... Not expensive because last time I am in Cal. L.A. area costed almost $10 USD on it!

      I think it’s the norm in London. I went to a pricey dim sum place and was not offer tea as well. It’s like alot of european restaurant that doesnt offer water as well. And actually a beer might even be cheaper than a glass of water.

    I visited that area when I went to London! I love all the cute little buildings. Elliott’s Chinese is pretty good. Is he a BBC? Did you teach him all that Chinese? My husband is half Japanese and half Chinese but only speaks English. It’s not easy teaching him another language, lol

      The building are definitely cute!! He was born and raised in Wales and was not taught any Chinese growing up. I taught him most of his canto and he remembers most things I teach him 👏

    Hope you are settling down and getting used to life in London. Must be quite a shock coming from Hong Kong to UK especially during COVID times! (Following rules in HK to relaxed rules in UK).

      We left London after 2 weeks of being there, the variant got too crazy and people were not really wearing masks or social distancing. But we had a great time nonetheless!

    Is dim sim a lot more expensive than HK? Also just curious, how come Elliott lives in HK if he was born and grew up in Wales? Did he study in HK? P.S. your masks are so cool!

      I’d say HK has more of a range, you can find cheap or expensive dim sum restaurants but in London they are all about the same price, quite expensive. Elliott works in HK, he’s been in HK for 3 years ☺️

      Depending how you looking things? If looking with HK views, yes it is more expensive! If looking at Western styles, no it is just a normal price range.

      @@hh2fan 🇬🇧 used Pounds but earning Pounds too if living in it. Therefore, I mentioned depending how you viewed it. And yes, London be more expensive if we viewed it on USA, NZ, Canada, Australia and other freedom countries! However, those currency rates still much better than HKD to Pounds.

    HK Chinese foods were below standard compared to other countries (went back in late 2019 to early 2020 - So, I knew). Canada, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand got a lot better and great tasting Chinese foods if you guys ever travel again. Btw, Elliott's Cantonese sounded in a cool and funny way!!!

      Agreed, London Chinatown has the worst Cantonese food,Amsterdam is better than London. Trust me, I grew up in Boston, lived in San Francisco for 30 years. I traveled to Asia, Europe and the Americas for business. Believe it or not, I found a great dim sum place in San Jose, Costa Rica called Wong’s Restaurant.

      @@edwardyu8386 Always, Never, and Perfect not happens in this world. However, agreed on some old/traditional dim sum like quail eggs Siu Mai are hard to find (and tasty), but I am unable to found it in HK too during 2019/2020 vacation (even traveled to New Territory & islands)!

    They have Din Tai Fung in London too. Probably the best dim sum in London. Not as good as Dim Sum Square in Sheung Wan, but it will do.

      London seemed very culturally diverse to me, I personally didn’t feel any sort of discrimination!
