@@gmae5342 Exactly. Either improve your set pieces or allow actual shooters to have a go. If Haaland was allowed to go on the edge and rifle the shots, I wouldn't have been this close.
Yea Pep got that second half horribly wrong. They kept trying to force things centrally and it just wasn't working. Foden should've been on sooner and taken up Kovacic's position. All the creative players were in the box and the centerbacks and Kovacic were just passing it around the edge of the box. Bernardo and Doku were too narrow and they didn't try to enter from out wide at all. Grealish and Savio should've been the wingers in the second half and been allowed to take on their man.
@@lucasmiles6927 yeah there’s nothing that breaks a low block than someone willing to run at players fearlessly it causes chaos. Arsenal had 10 men too so it would be hard to counter us well.

Doku wasn't even booked for kicking the ball away and for those saying he kicked it to where Rice should be taking the kick then why did the ref let Rice restart from exactly the same place he was standing before the ball was kicked away by Doku? Explain that. Gave Trossard a second to react to the whistle. Leaving Kovakic on last season because "he didn't want to ruin the spectacle". Haiwan!
@@rico_man7475 no he didn’t why would he tell him to do that? It’s the refs job and like I said why was Rice allowed to take it from the exact same position that he was standing before the kick from Doku if he was too ahead from where he should have taken it? Explain that to me mr expert
@@HuncholiniWell idk what the ref's logic was but he definitely pointed to the place he wanted the ball to be and doku clearly saw that and passed the direction the ref pointed. I dont know why the ref brought the ball back but he definitely told doku to pass where he did.
The referee is literally pointing to the players that the ball wasn't in the correct place and Doku passed it towards the correct spot. That's not delaying the restart, it's actually boosting it.
an excuse. he played it further away from the actual spot the play was restarted. now compare that to where rice tapped the ball and had to get sent off?
You can argue that rice did the exact same thing. The "letter of the law" states that opposition players have to move away from the ball once the whistles been blown
The ref isn’t obliged to wait for Walker to get back into position. Majority of City’s defence had reset. Both goals came from his poor defensive positioning
Now that is cheating. Arsenal were honestly pathetic, lost all respect from neutrals for that. Big team want to be champions and literally came to not play football
I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of football matches and for me it was an absolute classic. One for ages but that's just how I saw it. Fanfkngtastic.
You say 10 men like we're talking about Sheffield Utd😂Arsenal, even with 11 men, play the meanest low block. Saw last season and still see it this season. 10 men, 11 men the gameplan was still the same. Rely on set pieces and counter attacks. Let's not forget that Arsenal are getting shouts as the best defensive side in the world, deservedly. This isn't some 3rd tier team. City getting a result against that is impressive.
Man, when a team parks the bus, it does with 10 players only, that upfront player is just for counters. So, this was proper park the bus, even if they had 11th player, it would be inconsequential. City absolutely bombarded their bus and it was only justice that they got the goal in the end.
@@deepakpandey8240 The 1st thing ANY team will do against league leaders when they are red carded and defending a lead is park the biggest double decker bus ever. If you think the game would be the same if Arsenal still had 11 on the pitch stop watching football.

@@effayeyeayzed There's nothing to prove otherwise. The red card didn't give City an advantage because breaking down Arsenal is already difficult with 11 men, let alone 10. City win the game with 11v11 because then Arsenal wouldn't play so much of a nasty low block. Arsenal relied on a dodgy corner goal and a questionable equalizer. However, I cannot ignore their defensive masterclass given the 1 man deficit. Hopefully it's a better game at the Emirates.
As an arsenal fan I agree the ref should have stopped the play as he was the one that called walker to him to say something he should have blowed the whistle after walker went back
I think trossard thinks its half time, it was the 52nd minute and he hears a whistle blow. You dont even have to talk about the inconsistency, which is also true though and a huuuuuuge problem
I thought it's just a clearance. He kicks the ball 0,84 after the whistle. I know they're pro athletes, but not f1 drivers, by time soumd gets to him he's well on his way to kicking the ball, you can't stop instantly.
I remember rodri was given a yellow for same situation last season in some pl game. He did the same minus clattering into the opponent like trossard did on bernardo
I think Arsenal players switched off seconds before the final whistle. They’ll learn from it. I hope all these teams get their players back, it’s going to be a great show!
We just needed a little bit of luck in this game and NO NOTHING. 50% of Arsneal's PL games this season have resulted in red cards BOTH games dropped points. Thats a total of 4 points dropped from refs alone effecting the game. Arsenal had BETTER XG than city in first half so anyone saying we went there to be ultra defensive is a liar
40% 2 out of 5. But yes they won all their other games and the two with red cards both had arsenal in the lead when the card was given but then in both they concede and get a draw 4 extremely valuable points lost because someone kicked the ball while its not in play which you are only allowed to do when you’re on the other team
We don't get luck, or the rub of the green from refs. We will have to win it without both, and I think we can after that performance. They were celebrating a draw at home against 10 men.
Walker was already in line with his back 4 before the free kick was taken so he doesn’t have anything to complain about except the fact that he wasn’t switched on.
As an arsenal fan, inconsistency in referring aside, you’re right. If arsenal really believe they’re referred differently, they need to spend a practice working on fundamentals so to not give the refs more fuel. Just stop mucking about.
100% agreed. I'm also an Arsenal fan and Mikel obviously encourages the shithouse behaviour. Every team engages in them but now we have an extra microscope on us and we need to chill out with it. We are going to pick up a lot more bookings this season.
Trossard didn’t kick it away to delay though, he was trying to pass to Martinelli. It wasn’t even a second between the signal and his kick. He didn’t react quickly enough to stop himself. There wasn’t any frustration in the kick, look at his face when he hits it, he’s in game mode
i think the value of your speak is the best among the football content creator i look at. its not normal you dont grow faster considered the quality of your speaks. you should work on the strategy to get more eyes on your content.
must be exhausting and heartbreaking for the players to drop points like that. Hopefully arteta and the arsenal use this as motivation to pop these lot off the park in the reverse fixture.
I dont think you can use the consistency argument for trossard. there was a literal second between the whistle and kick. he was in the motion of kicking the ball before the whistle was blown. it was a very natural progress of play. if you think a ref sending a player of for not reacting to a whistle within a second then you need to check yourself. this was on minute 10 of a 6+ extra time. the ref should have blown the half and spoke with trossard. this game was managed differently for both teams. City were allowed the spirit of the law and Arsenal had to deal with the strict implementation of the law. this is the same ref that has a history of allowing City many soft calls. its a really bad look for the prem
Lyes, take it from this Arsenal fan, none of us would have bitten your hand off for a useless 2-2. Maybe Man Utd, but I was literally disgusted with that scoreline. How can we be worthy of playing Real Madrid if we draw with teams that have been in the Championship in my lifetime????? Disappointing .
I would argue the liverpool vs chelsea game at anfield in 2021/22 season was a better defensive performance by 10 men. Reece James was sent off by anthony taylor at the end of first half which ended 1-1. A liverpool team with salah, sane and firmino kept coming at chelsea but to no avail. Edu Mendy (who had since become quite shit) made a number of worldie saves, including a famous double save, to keep chelsea in the game and secure and hard fought draw.
So what you learned from this game was that arsenal plays good defense? Cmon Lyes, we knew that. Not one mention of how the game changed completely on its head once Rodri got hurt? Once Kovacic came in, the game was running farther and farther from us.
Pep was fuming and said in his pre match press that next time he’ll ask the players to not go to the ref and instead ask them to come to them. It wasn’t fair tbh but they just took use of that situation well
I thought ref couldn't given him another sec, but kyle is talking & walking back (that jogging motion. But not going fast), so he's only got himself to blame, & not like goal came directly from that, the wing passed the ball back
Arsenal literally played 12 v 10 and held on until final minute with the lead. If Arsenal doesn't win the league this season, they are never gonna because this is what you only see from the title winners.
Love your takes but seriously did you just say will Man City finally show their dominance on Arsenal? Did you forget the 4-1 at the etihad and ever result before that? It was only last year that arsenal got away otherwise City have always killed arsenal
16:16 I think it was the right desition to take doku off but def not savinho. Doku struggled a bit. Also, I think Guardiol played very well. he was the only defender that took good shots, dias shots was horrendus but gvardiol created 2 big chances with hes shots
Every one saying we're celebrating a draw against ten men, of course we are. It's much more difficult to score against 9 defenders than it is against around 5 or 6. Especially against a team like Arsenal. Y'all need to stop hating.
What people don't know is that Arsenal leads the league in time wasting/non inplay use of time (by a large margin). They have been warned in multiple times before even the game started about delaying the game and kicking the ball away (the dark arts). And even from that, still try to mulipuate the game with those tatics.
It's by 1 second and we have played two games with 10 men, against two of the best possession teams in the league. If this was after 38 games it'd be understandable, but there is very specific context in here that you do not apply. I'd urge to you to look at the full table if that to and see the teams. It's really not significant enough to be considered thematic. Just another thing rivals try to pin on us. In fact I'm surprised they aren't at the end of the list yet, but they do invent new ones every week.
We praise Jose because after doing that we won. Arteta hasn't won anything with any style of play at all. He & his team will get credit when he wins something.
Everyone knows WITHOUT saliba, Gabriel is not as consistent as he is. Fair enough their partnership is debatably the best in the world. Saliba is the difference
lol. They can't, which is why almost nobody plays it. Arsenal were leading and a man down. Only an idiot would try and have a go at CIty in those circumstances.
They can't against City. City play against low blocks all the time and come out on top. You think teams would be able to contain them with 1 less player?
@@bna919 There's low blocks and then there's core of the earth blocks. They didn't even bother tryyyying to have an outlet for attack, any self respecting team would want that counter opportunity. Peak Shithouse Stoke would have more ambition with 10 men than that.
@@NSorSomething Having an outlet would be counteractive. Remember Arsenal had 10 men not 11. Putting a player upfront for the counter would mean leaving spaces for at the back for City to exploit. Unless Havertz is doing a Messi and dribbling through the whole team he's better suited to help defend.
You just made up a few points out of nowhere. Calafiori was not hooked he just came back from injury and went down and couldn’t continue. Savio cooked him on the goal yes and looked dangerous for the first 20 minutes but didn’t do a thing the rest of the game. He got hooked not Calafiori. Also saying Trossard was on his final warning and was nibbling at ankles? He had two fouls all game and both led to his yellow cards

i think a big reason why city can't break down those low blocks are down to pep. he needs to learn that you can't just pass around trying to score the perfect goal, you have to leave it to the players and tell them to take on their man
@@gmae5342 Exactly.
@@gmae5342 true. The no 8s should make a run in half spaces, wingers should find them, then fcking cross, it will result in a deflection, rebound, or even a tapin or own goal. I'm a city fan, but pep should really learn this from liverpool to take risks in these games
Haiwan!
shut up the ref told doku to push the ball back
@@rico_man7475 no he didn’t why would he tell him to do that? It’s the refs job and like I said why was Rice allowed to take it from the exact same position that he was standing before the kick from Doku if he was too ahead from where he should have taken it? Explain that to me mr expert
@@Huncholini and Liverpool should've had a penalty at anfield against arsenal last season. Decisions even out across a season 👍.
@@darren223 I agree that pretty much every team other then City are getting shafted by the PGMOL
Didn’t know Doku was the referee? And declan rice did the same thing and got a second yellow for that
@@Letenmillion The actual referee mate, stop looking for excuses.
an excuse. he played it further away from the actual spot the play was restarted. now compare that to where rice tapped the ball and had to get sent off?
You can argue that rice did the exact same thing. The "letter of the law" states that opposition players have to move away from the ball once the whistles been blown
@@Mhollette rice kicked it outside of the pitch. was the fault outside the pitch?😂
The ref isn’t obliged to wait for Walker to get back into position. Majority of City’s defence had reset. Both goals came from his poor defensive positioning
What are you talking about yes he is. If he calls HIM to talk then he’s obligated to wait as to if Walker had left his position on his accord
Now that is cheating. Arsenal were honestly pathetic, lost all respect from neutrals for that. Big team want to be champions and literally came to not play football
monkey
How’s the ref not obliged when he has stopped the game. He then allowed a quick free kick, that’s a clear disadvantage
@@Prime1Wunna city scored the equaliser of a quick corner, don’t see us winging
I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of football matches and for me it was an absolute classic. One for ages but that's just how I saw it. Fanfkngtastic.
“This team just doesn’t know when to say die”. They had 55 minutes at home against ten men, they weren’t exactly up against it?
@@deepakpandey8240How long have you been watching football for? 15 minutes? What a stupid comment. If you dont think in Top Level football having one man down doesnt make a difference then you are completely foolish.
City celebrating a draw against 10 men and getting praised for it while being helped by the ref is a really funny twist of fate from last season 😂
Whose no 1
Whose no 4
Arsenal fans acting like they weren’t heading towards a 3-0 loss until Rodri’s injury is the most deluded thing I’ve seen in these past 24 hours
@@PkNitroNo we weren't, after the goal, City had no clear cut chances
@@PkNitro Odegaard missing is Arsenals problem to deal with. Rodri missing is an emotionally scarring event that even rival fans are hurt about. Lmao
Ive never seen pep so paranoid
The deciding part of the game was Rodri getting injured
I think Arsenal players switched off seconds before the final whistle. They’ll learn from it. I hope all these teams get their players back, it’s going to be a great show!
If Trossard was getting warnings prior then I think the tackle itself warranted a second yellow.
But yes they won all their other games and the two with red cards both had arsenal in the lead when the card was given but then in both they concede and get a draw 4 extremely valuable points lost because someone kicked the ball while its not in play which you are only allowed to do when you’re on the other team
refs affecting the game? If it was 11v11, city would've won the game
As an arsenal fan we love Gabriel, he is a beast, wears his heart on the sleeve and will be a future arsenal captain.
We are going to pick up a lot more bookings this season.
a second later you know😂😂😂
Ref gave Kyle Walker enough time IMO. I can see why he'd be upset if he didn't expect it, but he was casually getting back.
They were playing against ten men they had 52 mins to equalizer
And they did
Trossard didn’t kick it away to delay though, he was trying to pass to Martinelli. It wasn’t even a second between the signal and his kick. He didn’t react quickly enough to stop himself. There wasn’t any frustration in the kick, look at his face when he hits it, he’s in game mode
Loving the videos bro good to see constant non agenda analysis

must be exhausting and heartbreaking for the players to drop points like that. Hopefully arteta and the arsenal use this as motivation to pop these lot off the park in the reverse fixture.
He's still gonna park the bus
pop these lot?🤣 De bruyne and rodri will be back at the emirates, and I don't need to remind what happens with kdb at emirates.
Oh I think we will. It will be this season's Newcastle return fixture.
'Neither of my team's even played'.How many teams do you even have
I dont think you can use the consistency argument for trossard. there was a literal second between the whistle and kick. he was in the motion of kicking the ball before the whistle was blown. it was a very natural progress of play. if you think a ref sending a player of for not reacting to a whistle within a second then you need to check yourself.
this was on minute 10 of a 6+ extra time. the ref should have blown the half and spoke with trossard. this game was managed differently for both teams. City were allowed the spirit of the law and Arsenal had to deal with the strict implementation of the law.
this is the same ref that has a history of allowing City many soft calls. its a really bad look for the prem
Its not realy important fact bat the 13 shots of the city defense weren't from 24 shots but from 28
checked the still image of arsenals first goal and walkers position was in line with the rest of his back four
I think Trossard just tried to clear the ball expecting the whistle for half time considering it was a minute over the added time.
Forgot about that, fair enough. Even as an Arsenal fan that was impressive
It wasn’t fair tbh but they just took use of that situation well
as a City fan, I rather play against non red card. Is harder to score when 9 players is in their own box than normal
In pretty sure Walker stays longer than Saka and mthe cincersation was already over.
Trossard was not trying to play Martinelli, why would he? It’s the last second of the half he’s clearing the ball (which is what he’s supposed to do)
I thought ref couldn't given him another sec, but kyle is talking & walking back (that jogging motion.
That’s why the fast free kick is an advantage, walker isn’t afforded the privilege of getting into position. Arsenal took the advantage.
I know i'm a city fan, but I truly belive that city could win by 2 or 3 goals if rodri was still playing. City looked flawless until the injury
You had your goal machine in there, I didn't know Rodrigo scores so much that ge gets missed

Savio done 1 thing. calafiori was more than comfortable in the game!
Yeah, other than that assist, he didn't do much
He done more than one thing tell arsenal to stop fouling him and sitting back
Pep should have had players overlap to pull out those defenders rather than pass side to side
16:16 I think it was the right desition to take doku off but def not savinho. Doku struggled a bit. Also, I think Guardiol played very well. he was the only defender that took good shots, dias shots was horrendus but gvardiol created 2 big chances with hes shots
Because those 10 men will not be in the box for 45 minuites
Every one saying we're celebrating a draw against ten men, of course we are. It's much more difficult to score against 9 defenders than it is against around 5 or 6. Especially against a team like Arsenal. Y'all need to stop hating.
kyle walker was out of position all game! nothing to complain about we cant stop the whole game for kyle walker to get back into position.
What people don't know is that Arsenal leads the league in time wasting/non inplay use of time (by a large margin).
They have been warned in multiple times before even the game started about delaying the game and kicking the ball away (the dark arts). And even from that, still try to mulipuate the game with those tatics.
and still have nothing to back it all up🤣
The ball was in play for the most time in a half all season in the second half
me when I make stats up
It's by 1 second and we have played two games with 10 men, against two of the best possession teams in the league.
Facts of football - if you park the bus long enough eventually you will concede
If you keep paying to refs you'll eventually draw at your own home?..
Walker had the chance to get back, Arsenal had the match in their palm. Trossard gave away the win whether arsenal fans want to admit or not
Do you think arteta had inside information about rodri's knock because I looked like the game plan was to target rodri
noo you're wrong, the only to frustrate Arsenal was to make the mid congested and it worked out
City are becoming pl heritage I can’t even lie…
Becoming?
We praise Jose because after doing that we won. Arteta hasn't won anything with any style of play at all. He & his team will get credit when he wins something.
Not sure how trossard got a red for booting the ball away and not the foul, the foul is a clear yellow
Everyone knows WITHOUT saliba, Gabriel is not as consistent as he is. Fair enough their partnership is debatably the best in the world. Saliba is the difference
