Scouting for Osceola Turkey in the Big Cypress Swamp

The Big Cypress National Preserve is considered to be one of the most challenging places in the world to hunt. It is home to a true prize for hunters across the globe - the Osceola Turkey. The Big Cypress is the southernmost area in the continental U.S. to bag one of these turkey legally. It is a vast ecosystem filled with pine rock lands, hardwood hammocks, open prairies and extensive cypress domes and strands. However, these days, most of the Big Cypress is filled with an incredible amount of both flowing and standing water, making it difficult for both man and creature to traverse the terrain. Enjoy this short film on my scouting session for the upcoming South Florida spring turkey season.
