- I took the long way home and stopped in Tillamook, Oregon. I made a couple of friends and they showed me a bit of the area. Some of the trails were pretty intense, and I'd like to go back sometime soon!
You know those drop offs are steep when you can see it on the gopro! Nice job handling that beast of a bike.
Yes indeed! Thanks again for the tour 🤙
Haha you're crazy riding that big bike out there! BTW the 'mook' in Tillamook is pronounced like 'book'.
It wasn't quite what I expected. Thanks I will remember that for the future 🤙
No it isn’t, it’s’muck’
It's "muck"
Hello, I am from from Tillamook. The Tillamook Indians pronounced it mook. It means land of many waters in their language. I don't think I have ever heard someone from here pronounce it muk my entire life lol.
@@andthereIwas thanks for the input! However it is pronounced, it seems like a divisive issue.
Those are my riding buddies. Good job on the twin. You handle that bike pretty damn good.
They know how to show a guy a good time. Thank you 🙏
the “ook” in Tillamook rhymes with “cook”, not “fluke”.
Also it’s not in Central Oregon, it’s Western Oregon, close to the Pacific coast ✌️
I did not know that, thanks. Yes that would be considered western Oregon as well.
Impressive AF!
AMAZE! Great seeing the videos again. We hope to see you back in Vernon soon!
Thanks! You'll be the first to know 🤙
That was wild! Nice work on the big dawg AT
Thank you, it was a lot of fun!
I just got a 2024 AT last week, and watching this.... Insane.... I live vicariously thru you hahah not with my own bike....
Thanks for watching!
@@thatguyonanafricatwin My pleasure, mad skillz you have :)
that was an intense ride... i had to go have a rewatch
I was fully in the moment while riding it!
Woohoo! that was quite a feat for such a big bike, color me impressed, once you hit odins trail i knew exactly where you were. to be fair those trails they took you on were on the milder side for diamond mill 😂 ive done some GNARLY stuff over there and will make your heart skip a beat or 3 if you ever decide to come back i would recommend browns camp/rogers camp just up the highway for some more tame and flowy trails
Good to know. I thoroughly enjoyed myself I just like a bit more of a safety margin! I would love to spend a week there. 🤙
Crazy man
B-E-A-utiful ride!
Thanks! Kind of like Rocky, just turned up to 11
Wow. I was wetting myself just watching!
Just don't look down!
Algorithm sent me - there are thousands of miles of trails in Oregon.
Try Nicolai OHV park (Clatsop State Forest but they're adjacent), it's usually less populated than Brown's or Lee's Camp and it's got its own brand of hairiness (watch out for spur roads abruptly ending in 150ft drop offs).
If you start to see gravel the size of grapefruits, start thinking another path if you're on a motorcycle - if you see the entire road turn into it, that's hardcore construction gravel for massive trucks and it's going to deliver you some punishment in a hurry.
Trolling through the forest and jungle is like driving on carpet or lawn when you get a clear line for once lol
thanks for making the video! bring more cool people!
also, in season, huckleberries! get some bisquick and sugar and BAM fresh camp cobbler.
The good thing about being on the side of a ridge is that you can only fall off one side lol
That's all great info, thanks! I will keep all this in mind when I'm back again. 🤙
You're constantly reminding me that my bike (ATAS) is FAR more capable. It's the rider. My goodness was this crazy. I have a lot of practicing to do.
It's pretty amazing what they can do. That's what I do, lots of practice 👍
Gnarly is an understatement.
I'm not sure if I would do some of those trails again
@@thatguyonanafricatwin I would probably have left my bike there and walked home. 🥶
Good technique on a large bike in tight single track. You must have a longer inseam than myself. I would have trouble doing that on the KLR.
Thanks, I have good length legs for the bike. I think a KLR could be taken through most of it.
You are keeping up with the guy on the 2-stroke? Mad respect!
They were being kind and taking it slow for me, but thank you! 🙏
@@thatguyonanafricatwin I just bought a enduro 2 stroke and even though it has less power than my kx450f I can ride it faster bc it's made for single track. I guess my buddies were waiting a lot for me too.
It helps when the bike isn't trying to rip your arms off all the time. I'm sure you'll love it.
You have big balls riding that beast on such a sketchy trail. I grew up riding the tillamook burn and the surrounding areas but on a 250 2stroke not a 560 pound 1100cc elephant 😂
I like a little sketchy, this was a lot. It's an awesome area, I'm Feinstein definitely go back. On a big bike it gets a little more complicated 🤣
Fun my backyard
It's a wonderful backyard. I'm jealous
What kind of tires you rocking on that thing?? Nice video. Treating that girl like a 250lb dirt bike..
Mitas e-13 front, Dunlop 908 rear. Thanks! That's how I like to ride it 🤙
I live just south of here and am in TM often... where is this trail at? Looking for some fun places to ride my KTM 625!
This was staging from Diamond Mill. The trail is Odins Ridge on Trailforks. I'm not sure the number for the local trail map.
Thank you for Sharing 👌🏻 awesome...
"Dirt skiing"! Good to see what the AT can do. Mine will not be doing those tracks, stick to the gravel roads and touring.
The Twin is great at a lot of things. I don't think I would have done some of them if I knew what they were like!
mikes last name start with a G by any chance? might be a buddy of mine
This Mike's last name starts with an S
@@thatguyonanafricatwin different mike then
Rad
Ya don’t get any ideas -
If you want to keep you Social life going with everything working properly. Legs / arms / ankles / hands & toes.
Do you know how this works? It’s all fun and games until you end up underneath that big girl
Butt puckeringly gnarly. But in a good way!
It was an awesome experience!
what a wonderful place to ride bikes, you lucky people
It is an amazing place for sure
