The syrup you buy in the grocery store is usually syrup that is maple flavored, not actual maple syrup. I live in New England and I get real maple syrup from our local farm stand, it's all locally produced as well with labels on the bottles telling you what farm it came from.
Unless you buy real maple syrup and put it on yer pancakes. 🤷🏼♂️ And its just as good on eggs and sausage and bacon and grits and every other damn thing on a breakfast plate.

Maple syrup on French Toast is my jam (preferably if it isn't a super sweet french toast like a lot of people make). Or an egg in a basket. A slight drizzle over some vanilla ice cream for a maple sundae is great. Or as a simple syrup substitute in some cocktails (an Old Fashioned in particular) - yum. If you can find it, I also recommend whisky barrel aged maple syrup. So good.
I have held off watching this video for roughly 5 months. For today is July 1st. And as a Canadian, it was a treat to watch Irish people try various maple flavoured things on Canada Day. I am glad I waited.

I'm a bad Canadian and have largely meh feelings about maple syrup. That said, it's a good sugar alternative and is pretty good when cooking savoury items and adding a touch of sweetness to your recipes
I think the disconnect in flavor expectation is that these items are goodies made with real maple syrup, not "maple syrup" artificially flavored goodies. The flavor of Real Maple lessens with heat, leaving just a rich sweetness ❤❤❤ as a cook/baker I just had to clarify
I'm inclined to agree. I have mixed feelings about maple, but it's common enough I'd never call it exotic. However, both my parents are from Milwaukee!

So good.
Maple walnut ice cream and maple walnut nut fudge are two of my favorite maple flavored foods.
I enjoy the Alcohol/ liquor trys but never stop doing the food/snacks. its my therapy i love this videos 👏🏼💪🏽👍🏼.
I have held off watching this video for roughly 5 months. For today is July 1st. And as a Canadian, it was a treat to watch Irish people try various maple flavoured things on Canada Day. I am glad I waited.
All the Canadians lovin' on our Irish brethren... 🍁❤🍀
Next time take a vodka shot and add maple syrup. It will change your world.
Cheers from the pacific northwest. Canada side.
That means you are in the South West
7:02 absolutely! Salted popcorn or no popcorn at all.
and butter
Ahh it’s been awhile ❤️ Canada loves Ireland
Tree Blood, great description of Maple syrup, I never thought of it like that! Thank you. All of you are swell!
I’m so proud and happy to live in our Belle Province (Québec) where maple products are commonplace. I admit that I love the stuff…Mmmm maple butter on toast, lovely.
My thanks to the whole team for this "sweet" shoot.
Hello fellow Quebecer.🇨🇦🇨🇦
@@marykoufalis7666 well hello back Mary, have a great day, "eh!"
Maybe they should try maple glazed chicken drumsticks. I just thought that up while watching this video. Now I want to try to make them. Cheers
Oh I have drums... add some chili flakes
@@lifewuzonceezrYes, just a little to spice them up a bit. Listen to us, inventing Canadian Maple Drums. Cheers
Hell yeah! Maple Syrup shots are amazing! But I do mix mine with Bourbon.
I regularly use maple syrup in my coffee in place of regular sugar.
The best maple syrup is the bottom of the keg, motor oil colored! Makes your coffee turn green! So good!
As an American living in Wisconsin calling Canada "Exotic" is funny to me.
I'm inclined to agree. I have mixed feelings about maple, but it's common enough I'd never call it exotic. However, both my parents are from Milwaukee!
Blasphemous! Never question our exotic maple syrup American cousins!
It’s as sacred as hockey, medicare, and red flannel long sleeve shirts! Haha!
Do you need any exotic maple syrup, hockey, Medicare or red flannel long sleeve shirts? We’ll send you some down if you need any eh!!
👍🏻
ah yes, the exotic land of Canada 🤣
I grew up in both Wisconsin and Alaska and I agree. 🤣
As a Canadian looking at a yard burried in at least a foot or more of snow, calling Canada exotic is hilarious to me.
He looks like how i sound 😂😂😂😂😂 omg the accuracy tho Callyann LOL ❤❤❤
I ate some fried Maple Spam recently, and it was pretty tasty.
In anticipation of Shrove Tuesday, tonight we had a rehearsal dinner of sourdough pancakes, homemade applesauce, yogurt and our finest #1 Obsidian.
Tree blood is really good for you. Google doesn’t lie.
Thanks 🇨🇦
I grew up on the south shore of Montreal in Canada and every spring growing up we would get a batch of maple syrup from our neighbor. Me and dad would do a tiny shot of maple syrup to see if it was good. You get it fresh and the can is still warm, you got to taste it you know! :)
For those who like the maple syrup shots, check the scene in the movie 'Super Troopers' in the diner, chugging the syrup.
"He looks like how I sound" lmao love Callyann 😂
fyi, 40 gallons of tree blood to make one gallon of syrup
how in the world did keira light up so much and get excited about the noise it made when paddy poured the sirup into the tea?
i see what you did there...
Darren, you're a madman. I honestly can't believe I just saw you take a shot of syrup.
Idk why it comforts me to know so many Canadians are as obsessed with random Irish folk like me LOL
The only place I see maple syrup products in western Canada are at the tourist shops. In general western canadians use store bought syrup on their pancakes because maple syrup is always about three or four times more in price.
as a Canadian maple syrup is more tree food then it is tree blood, the syrup is made from sap which is the energy for the sugar maple. 🍁
That's so many more amazing Canadian things.... I am getting you a package together to send to you! Have you tried maple syrup coffee, maple syrup soda, or how about our unhealthy obsession with bacon in everything.
Need to send the 4 types from Canada or the 3 types in Vermont lol now need to think of a way to send snow for Sugar on snow
Sugar.
@@TheBullyMommaI'll give you a Seinfeld refrance (Soup Nxxi) I know my spelling stinks I don't care you still knew what I was saying
I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe and warm after the storms! Fingers crossed you all have electricity.
I tried something maple earlier. Just gnawing on a hunk of wood. Great cabinets.
🤣🤣🤣
Well done Dena, Canadians kill them with kindness 🥰
Murchie's gift packs are a great gift for any tea lover
Clisare: "Everything tastes better with tea."
Me: "That sounds like another Durean challenge."
Durian lol..
Cyborg(Ciara) can do everything, but sugar. Also, The Fire Queen(Clare) and The Cookie Lady is a great pair. The cookie lady eating cookies. Well done TRY Channel! well done.
Give me a Grade A Dark Robust Amber Tree Juice please! Love it! I’m from the northeast US originally and I’ve got mostly Canuck blood in me as my family ancestors emigrated to what was not yet Canada in the early 1700s from Europe which is probably why I love the Tree Juices of the Great White North. Great video as always 😂 But I have to say, even as a certified lover of Maple Syrup I don’t think I could do it by the shot.
Thank you all for the video. I like maple syrup on pancakes and waffles with some jam or fruit
