How do you not know who bobby flay is?!? Hes been on tv since like 1998. This Izzy guy seemed kind of odd though. He came across as a nice but weird as heck kind of guy. He seemed sad he was on throw down ha he looked upset and clueless. If you know what the food network is...you know bobby flay he's like their biggest star. When was this episode originally aired?
If that was aired 2009 it was probably shot in 2008 or 2007, people weren't as crazed about chef celebs as much as today especially a business owner who's probably always busy. With the exception of Julia child of course, everyone in the industry knew her name.
It would seem likely that both judges were well aware of who's ice cream they were tasting and knew which one was Izzy's ...... The one judge probably had it right at 5-4 for Izzy but that one judge who only scored Bobby's at a 2 was way off base! I watch a lot of Bobby Flay shows and that has to be the worst/bias judging I have seen to date! 👨🍳🦂🥂

It's a bit weird that he's in the food business but he doesn't know Bobby Flay. But then again, he might just not be a Food Network kinda guy.
Wow, IZZY seems like a great guy. Very humble and loves the craft, I wonder if they're still around today.
The restaurant closed because of COVID, but Izzy's sells ice cream online.
